What happened..? Is the Early Roman Kings download available?

You've missed it mate - they only gave a few away, so us Brits and Eurotrash swiped them all.

There's a chance it could show up on the official site as a download today. So far, it's been similar to when Amazon listed a Beyond Here Lies Nothin' single and it ended up as a limited time free download before going on sale. A release of ERK today and Scarlet Town on the 17th would be close to the way they rolled out previews for BHLN and I Feel a Change Comin' On in the lead up to Together Through Life. That album topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic, so it would make sense to promote the new album the same way.

Suspect you're right unless there was a fear that the reaction in our little corner would be replicated elsewhere. Then again, that seems unlikely....

I think to be fair, this website is invariably cited as the No.1 online resource for all things Bob Dylan. If I were a marketing person at Sony BMG, and wanted some kind of litmus test of reaction (albeit by an obsessive tiny minority, granted) then I reckon I'd certainly have a look at these various threads. Not suggesting the reaction here would rock them in their boots, only that it might well be part of the equation, especially if there had already been some kind of equivocation over the merits of releasing this single.

And we all know some of the ladies here are secretly married to Bob too, dont we?

I'm looking for a place that will collect, clip, bath and return my dog. I want a dog that's gonna collect and clean my bath, return my cigarette, and, and give tobacco to my animals, and give my birds a commission. I want- I'm looking for somebody to sell my dog, collect my clip, buy my animal and straighten out my bird. I'm looking for a place to bathe my bird, buy my dog, collect my clip, sell me cigarrets and comission my bath. I'm looking for a place that's gonna collect my commission, sell my dog, burn my bird, and sell me to the cigarette. Going to bird my buy, collect my will, and bathe my comission. In what way would anything posted here put the kibosh on releasing a download of e.r.k.?

Sure they got nothing better to do than reading through a dozen pages posted by nutcases who wouldn't be satisfied regardless of what they release. The day $ony runs a poll here before a release they're lost.

I think if Bob ever posted here, he would be ridiculed and / or have his posts deleted.

From my online chat with Amazon customer service in states at 12:40 Eastern Time.

Amazon: "Thanks again *&*^% , though the release date is for today the content is not yet made available for purchase , please give us a little more time and place the order later, there is no problem on your end , the problem is from my end and I will escalate this to our back end and will try to fix this as soon as possible
I request you to give us little more time and place the order later"

Me:later today you think? Do you have any time frame? Really wanted to have that file before I take my plane ride lol.

Amazon:"I hope it will get available for customers by the end of the day , but unable to confirm the time frame."

Although I've run into a lot of technical problems with Amazon listings, I'm not sure this is the case here. Would't it be on iTunes?

Would you really want an email from Amazon after you received the mp3?

This is what amazon told me:

Good publicity.... keeps people waiting, wanting it even more.

my guess is that they are changing the release date of the single. if it is supposed to premiere on that stupid show, then they won't have an exclusive if it is released digitally beforehand.
