Very diplomatic of you. I think after raging saw charles's video she called it one of the worst things she's ever seen.

I didn't read up - was it the Japanese one?
I've often read that he hated having to do videos when MTV came on.... now people say he invented it.

Yup, that's the one.
Well, the Pennebaker video is a precursor, but poor him probably never imagined what they would turn into.

It made me sad! I haven't watched it since. I don't too much mind the other eighties videos (I kind of like them actually) but that little dance move at the end.......... :( I felt like it must have been humiliating. Maybe he wasn't bothered by it because it certainly was not out of place at the time.

Now THIS is a video!!!

I love the Must Be Santa video, but that's just me.... Blood In My Eyes is a very good one, can't wait for the photo exhibition. Things Have Changed is another great one.

Oh, yes, I like raging's video, but my fave one is still the Santa Claus one, too. I've played it several times this summer and it still cracks me up. He's so deadpan.

LOVE all three of those, JP! I have abstained from watching it Must Be Santa or listening to Christmas In The Heart until November even though I love them dearly

I only ever listen to that during the season.... looking forward already.
Someone did a nice video to his version of This Old Man, but I can't find it online.

Thanks RG.... good way to start the morning.....

.....BUT I HAVE A QUESTION FOR THE GUITAR PEOPLE.....

Aren't both his and Larry's guitar in this video a lot like the found "Newport guitar"? I mean really, from those old black and white photos could they really tell which one of those guitars was for sure at Newport on stage with him....???? (this is assuming that those are the same type of guitars in the first place..... I only know one from the other by their guitar straps after all  ) I think the lady really has a 'Dylan' guitar, which is pretty cool..... but I just don't know how they can say that it is the exact Newport guitar..... especially since he thinks he still has it.....

Wouldn't you say you still had it if somebody was trying to use your name to make money?

No. I think in the end he will end up in possession of both the one he has and this one. The basis of this guitar being worth anything is that they say it was his. Well, if he says it is his, and the woman says it was his, and the experts are saying it was his..... then it would seem that it is his. So, I would think the best she is going to hope for is a finder's fee..... even if her father didn't exactly "find" it. As to her selling it for lots and lots of money.... that would take a big auction house to handle it..... and I am sure it would only take one call from a lawyer saying the ownership is questionable to stop that in it's tracks. There is a couple of painting that have ownership question going right now, and the auction houses won't sell them until it is cleared up. So she might try selling it to a unnamed buyer, but that is not going to bring the big bucks. It will end up back where it belongs, with him.... and then someday the "Newport" guitar will come out of the vault for display..... which ever the heck guitar it really is..... Because no matter what the experts say.... the person who was on stage that day gets the last word on which guitar it really was.... But back to the question..... do the guitar people here really think with only those pic for reference it is REALLY possible to tell one from the other....???? :?

That's a neat picture of Bob and Neil. But why don't you post it to the board so I don't have to click on a suspect link? You never know what's hiding behind those those things.

I didn't know tumblr links were suspect yet. If I was going to re-size each photo I post to comply with the size limits of this board.... I'd be busy.
