Look at how cooler he is from everyone else in that room. He's got such a strong presence.

I'm sure he was but my comment was more directed at Bob Dylan rather than Jcastro... but take a look at that whole photo shoot... and you can place my comment under just about any of them... for instance:

why go?

True - he didn't look comfortable at the Presidential Medal of Freedom either.

I think he always looks uncomfortable at formal awards ceremonies.

I'm currently attending St Andrews University where Bob got this doctorate from... I once had an exam in the very room where those photos of him yawning were taken... I was rather distracted from the exam thinking that Bob had sat only a few meters away from where I was... wierd stuff...

Interestingly, on the very same night (or perhaps the next day) he gave the legendary concert at the Glasgow Barrowlands, famed as one of his best

Why go? Because he likes the honour, but it bores him silly to have to sit still and listen.
He looks unconfortable when he's on a stage and does not own it. And he has a hard time up to this day and his age to sit/stand still. The mimic and body wants to move. At the interview he had a pencil or something similar in his hand, to play with.

I so sympathize....

Proves my point that higher education of the classroom-confined kind just could never have been his thing.

I tell everyone this, repeatedly! Can you blame me!!

When LaRue was up here, I took her on the Bob Dylan tour of St Andrews, which is admittedly a short one... but as Bobsessives we excitedly gawked at the side door which Bob may or may not have entered...

Apparently, he was so impressed with the gown he asked to keep it... they are usually rented for the occassion but apparently they let Bob keep his!

I think he looks very tired in these photos. His eyes look heavy in all the shots. I can imagine the dryness of the ceremony had ot add to his fatigue. I've been in meetings like that so I can relate.

I think he's reworking the lyrics to "Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum" in his head. I see a difference between this and the Presidential Award ceremony too. There, he was actually surrounded by some figures he might have been impressed by, and there were others to split up the focus of attention.

not sure what the details are surrounding the Doctorate delivery so I can't comment. But I bet they said a lot of boring sh*t.

'so impressed with the gown.' that's funny. he just didn't want to see it on ebay I'd guess.
