I went to this museum many years ago..... If anyone is in range to go to see this show be sure to leave yourself a whole day because this museum is that cool.... wonderful exhibits...... When I was there the city of Youngstown was a mess, hope they got better by now.... but then there was this gem of a museum right there in the middle of it all..... It was (and from their web site seems to still be) a very friendly, nice place to visit, easy parking.... I had lunch right there and then went right back at it..... I was there to see an exhibition of the Van Gogh wheat field paints and drawings..... but there was so much more that I just kept right on going..... Easy to understand how they land so many good exhibitions....

driving time in under 6.5 hours? check.
the llama family will be there! perhaps a Dylan Birthday trip venture is in order.
need to do a practice run for the family road trip this summer to Minnesota.
i had Nashville and an exhibit there on the short term calendar, will have to see how long that thing is going on.
i forgot what that one was now, i think it got posted/referenced hERe sometime in the last year. maybe early fall?

I had the opportunity to check this out. This is an interesting museum, a beautiful building containing works from just about all of the most prominent American artists. Face Value was prominently exhibited in its own room.

The museum was very quiet when we visited. This allowed us a closer and longer viewing of Face Value than we had at the National Portrait Gallery.
