why don't you look it up. a really old story..... read all of damiano/his cohorts stories......and you can find some of the edited depos online (didn't go too far) and the narrative stories online. read'em/see'em all and why not check out for yourself and judge for yourself....

Damiano is mentally ill, as the courts found.

Or this more recent update, which summarizes the case conclusively:
http://oestrem.com/thingstwice/2011/07/last-words-on-dignity-the-song-that-is/.
With one small thing remaining: the melody that was supposed to have been stolen. I couldn't find it anywhere. But a Haaaavard graduate apparently had heard it, so I tried one last time, and there it was!
So I had to write this last postscript, featuring an original song - shamelessly stolen, of course.

It is probably the thing I've had the most fun writing - ever.

The poor man is trying everything to keep his case alive, including coming on ER with multiple nicknames (the latest of which is none other than 'philarktos', see above) to try and stir the post

I wonder if Dylan ever gets tired of people jumping on his coattails..... in which ever way they can, true or not true, to get their few moments of fame..............or maybe even just to get noticed..... :?

When I think of all the other Damiano songs I've loved, this charge seems reasonable.

and when I think of all the Dylan songs that I have loved, dating back to the sixties, this charge seems completely unreasonable.... or maybe just down right crazy!!!! :?

There are so many cases of people sitting around him while he wrote songs.... example: Cold Iron Bound.... walked in on a drummer repeating a certain sound so that he had muscle memory of it.... when Dylan came in, he stopped.... "no, keep going"..... then he wrote Cold Irons Bound.....another example: Sad Eyed Lady....... the only place that came from was Dylan ...... So many of his songs were written with someone else around...... coming from the things happening in that moment.....

Next thing you know this guy is going to have a rhyme for orange....
