i came here ISN, because you spread yourself about - hard to track down. but i know where i see Long John i'll "always" see ISN. the "last waltz" - neil young - "i think they've got it now Robbie" - glad to see you have ISN. shame about the sign-out though - don't use Long John's ghost-writer for these "lesser posts". his typing-finger waving - go away you "&#)!**$.++" means nothing to me. i'm probably all the things i've been called by Long John and ISN - but i am not a "trading nazi f**k", and i won't rest until a simple apology for such a reprehensible remark is withdrawn. do i expect one - in reality sadly no. i've never read a Long John manifesto except if it mentioned me - honestly- how much can you take ? but i know enough now of this person that their world would tumble down around them if they didn't believe they had a captive, adoring audience on this site. maybe if you can't come up with an apology Long John - YOU should go away. makes me sick when i see people like you putting magnificent portrayals of bob next to your vile rhetoric.

Come on, kids....let's be nice to one 'n' all....no name calling....peace, love and understanding.

Come back...Never Too Old, P14, Trickseeee.......

Actually, the machine isn't off base, it's just the way the internet works. Contrary to what's commonly believed, an IP address only identifies a particular individual during the time they're logged on to the internet. each time someone signs off, their IP becomes available for someone else, and their ISP assigns them a new IP address the next time they sign on, and since hundreds of people can share the same ISP, there's no way of knowing which IP address belongs to which individual, unless that person stays connected to the internet permanently and never signs off. IP addresses are a very unreliable way of telling who is who.

I've never read this thread before, it's great. 20/20 should post here more often.

I didn't really post a guitar emoticon 30 times. The forum was acting up then.

I must be blind when are you going going gone for?? what did you do wrong?

"Blind" as he's 20/20 vision. Excellent gag, I think these's things go too unnoticed sometimes.

Though major ISP's don't use dynamic IP addresses.

I can assure you, I am Holly Homes -none other.
I am only one person, and I am not capable of being anyone else.
Thanks for the assumption though... funny

You've unearthed a treasure, twood.

I sat and read this thread while my 4 year-old rewound and replayed the oompa loompa song (which follows Veruca Salt's demise) over and over and over. Talk about surreal.

 Classic!

PS: I hope your 4 year-old is watching the Gene Wilder version, not the Burton version. Is that wishful thinking on my behalf?

We don't allow the Burton version in our house! (Gene Wilder really is brilliant, isn't he?)

Sir, I've always suspected that you're the coolest poster on here, but you have just confirmed it.

When the shit hit the fan on this site, I contemplated nominating you as being one of the new moderators, but I couldn't face having a hand in inflicting that kind of pain onto you.

And yes, Wilder is superb.

A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

Indeed--it's a good thing you didn't. I can't imagine dealing with threads like this. Those mod people do an incredible job here...Your quote is a nice contribution to this thread topic. This one's not as good, but: We have so much time and so little to do...Strike that, reverse it! When I write my memoirs, I think the title will be: "Important?...or Unimportant?"
