Expecting Rain

I am wondering who/what Bing [Bot] is. It is coming and going like any ER user but seems not to be a proper ER member or moderator.

It's an anti-spam device. We were getting buried in spam and this was put in place to help. It works great.

There was a time that moderators spent a great deal of
time keeping spam off the boards that would have otherwise made it onto the forums.

I think it is the Bing search engine visiting and indexing everything you post.

I have often thought that Bing Bot would make a great name for a Bond villian.
