Why when i post a picture does it come out as a clickable link, with an ugly brown bar across the top that announces "Attachments:", and why is the name of the file visible below with a tally of how many times it's been viewed? ("out-of-sight.jpg [ 100.66 KiB | Not viewed yet ]")

When I try to post a picture, I always get "Your image may only be up to 480 pixels high" - no matter how small I make it. I don't understand how some people post such huge pictures - ?

You get that when you upload an image from your computer. If you upload that image to the web, on a site like photobucket or imageshack, and it is in the required size or smaller, you just click [Img] above and put the image link between the brackets. That should post the picture.

Thanks Johanna, I've set up a Photobucket account and am a much happier camper in gen'ral. Had no idea so many editing tools were available within the browser. Thank you!

I'm a lot more literate now when it comes to image management online - but still seem strictly limited by the 480x640 dimensions. And GIFs! Ai Karumba!
