I wonder if it is time for that forum to be split into more defined areas, something along the lines of:

Specific Songs & Lyrics.
Studio Albums (inc. outtakes & sessions)
In Concert, pre 1990 ish.
The NET, post 1990 ish.
The Daft Threads.
Film, Video, Photos, Docs, Books & Interviews.

Or:
Old Bob, pre 1990 ish.
New Bob, post 1990 ish.
The Daft Threads.

Or:
The NET.
The Daft Threads.
Everything else.

Given that there are only around some 714 pages of threads to move, it would give the Mods something to do when there is nothing on the telly.

Any thoughts?

I think it's fine the way it is now, to be perfectly honest.

This is one of the best ideas I've ever heard. Can this be accomplished within the next couple of hours?

There could be a catagory for ridiculously stupid threads, too. Conversations Using Only Dylan Lyrics would go there.

I don't think that it's up to you to decide... and as a newbie, I feel you should keep your opinions to yourself.

This is a free country and if folk want to talk about changing things then they should be able have an opinion without fear of being belittled or bullied.

How I see it, is that it is for me and the delectable Bosty to decide how we have the sections... no-one else... just the radiant Bosty and moi (me)!

Oh my dear tb, you must remember that XZYOE is from Pittsburgh, and things are different there....... it is just too much to explain how different.... they just are..........and besides, I rather think on this most important matter XZYOE might just be correct.......... but then I am sure that you and Bosty will work something out.......... and even figure out the categories too!!!!! :P

By the way..... that pic that XZYOE has for an avatar.... must be a pic taken at Newport.... (shirt with big polka dots).... but that van in the background looks like it was on Freewheelin'........... I know they were around then, but wonder if it is the same one..... and who owned it?.............. I don't think it was Dylan.... he kept showing up traveling in the station wagon...........

I've had experience with this in the past and I can say that all it does is badly water down forum to forum activity. It makes it confusing and phsychologically at least makes it seem as if there's less activity.
