Expecting Rain

The Watchtower board has instituted "killfiles" so the reader doesn't have to see repeated stupid posts from a handful of the members.

Unfortunately, It's too late. Most of the grown-ups left a long time ago.

The same could happen here. No one wants to see the same snarky / bitchy / off-topic comments over and over and over from the same dozen names. The grown-ups will save their time but the repetitious dopes never quit.

So, how about a Killfile facility, eh?

No thanks. I like being able to say whatever I feel. If I can direct your attention to the top of the page, you will see the words "Expecting Rain Discussions" not "Bobby Ds Pre Teen Fan Club".

However, if your talking about all these NET threads that keep popping up then sure, go ahead. Keep that stuff to the numerous other sections.

The repetitious dopes are the ones who keep insisting that "Bobby's better than ever" and that his singing on whatever tour happens to be current is "head and shoulders above everything else he's done in years," right?

But if *I* have had quite enough of Arseface or whoever, I shouldn't have to be distracted by him anymore.

The lonely dopes never go away. The others go on with their lives elsewhere.

I don't like the negativity either, but there's always room for a diversity of opinions and styles of expression, and an integral part of discussion is being exposed to opinions and styles other than your own. Pretending not to acknowledge the presence of people with opposing viewpoints is no way to facilitate the free exchange of ideas.

lowgen, your thread was moved to Questions and Suggestions, not Siberia. We have a feature you'll find in your User Control Panel called "Foes". Add anyone to your Foe list whose posts you no longer wish to read.
