Expecting Rain

friends,
are updates via mail set with a restricted option like
*warn only for three days* or something like that?

what happens (to me) is that when I answer to a topic I receive updates.
almost instantaneously.

but if i don't check the link immediately the updates tend to diminish in time.

If i don't follow the links for, say, a whole week, no update reaches me.
even though there are some.

does this happen to someone else?
or is it an option chosen by the moderators?

It's not something we decide. I think it's the forum software.
Mad Cow might know why.
My guess is if you don't post in the topic for so long, it stops sending out updates.
I've never tried the notifications myself though.

that one was a temporary bug....it affected me too....so, no, I don't thiink it has to do with that....

When you receive the notification email read it closely...i think it says that you won't get
another email about a topic unless you follow the link to view that topic. (or something like that).

- I am going to find one and copy it here....
