I have posted few messages over here, but still as I post anything, there comes text that says that admin will have approve the post first.
So, I was wondering, is this standard procedure for new members (or ones with low post count) and when will I qualify as normal member without that approve message?

Hi StrangeHobo, welcome to Expecting Rain. To answer your question, yes - your first few posts here need to be approved by the moderating team - this, as I'm sure you can appreciate, is to prevent spam and stop people inundating the forum with loads of off topic messages as soon as they've joined. The good news for you is that you're almost at the end of that process, so carry on and soon you won't need to wait for moderator approval to see your posts on the forum. Welcome again.

Ok, thanks for the reply and answer.

EDIT:
And now it seems that I already can post and it works normally.
Anyways, I have encountered similar approvement on some other forums aswell, but its good way of getting new users to follow the rules and stop them from spamming too many nonsense message at the start like you said.

I don't remember this when i joined but it's a good idea. Now you won't make the mistake of writing endless drivel about beer and cheese in the middle of serious discussions. There's a bloke who already does that and frankly he's an idiot. Welcome aboard, mind the gap and always carry a lightbulb.

I don't recall what I drank to celebrate graduating from the post approvement process, but as it's beginning to feel like fall outside I might suggest one of the heartier ales (it is not quite cool enough for a stout, much less a Russian stout, imho). I have not noticed the usual deluge of Octoberfest beers, but one of those might be a nice way to mark the occasion.

I can just hear it - 'turn that racket down Grommet' then after hours in the lab grommet gets given prototype ear goggles which bring back all the hiss and steam we are used to!

It's better in mono. Cheese, that is.

But if I wanted stereo cheese on a wide-panned pizza, surely we're looking at the crust feed option

True, but eat it quietly to avoid the loudness wars and subsequent clipping round the ear.

Much as I detest Facebook I do sometimes wish for a 'LIKE' button here - there is barely a cheese related response here I wouldn't 'like' - especially stephens which says it all really.... and in glorious mono wensleydale fashion too! A tip of the cheese crust to ya Mr Oxford. Whatever happened to that lovely young lady who used to post here that you knew - LaRue???? I hope she is enjoying some dairy produce somewhere in the world beyond, or within, academia. Hope your doing well too man! And the mouse versus house problem hasn't reoccurred - the answeer, as it so often is, is cheese.

That's one of the things I like about this forum: we go from a question about post approvement to discussing cheese to facebook within 20 posts.
