Getting an image down to 10 kilobytes for use as an avatar is darned tricky. I learned that converting a .jpeg to a .gif (not the replaying kind, just an image) helps shrink it - but 10 kbs??? I feel like Gary Sinise in Apollo 13 trying to get them back to earth on 3 amps.
