It's not going to happen for me. I am despondent. I was at many of those shows mentioned above, starting in 1989. 99/00 and 09/10 shows will always stand out for me. Based on reports this will be a stand out show as well, but I have fallen on hard times. Alas!

I hope it's a great show for those going. I'll be doing my best to pretend he's playing in Europe and it's just another night at home for me.

Sorry you won’t be able to make it, smoke. I’m sure he’ll be back soon enough.

Llama, are you still planning on a 5:30 meet-up at Reggie’s?

I'm at Reggie's. Anybody else? Ground level. Rust colored jeans and black UWGB hoodie. Long hair.

Edit: Or were y'all meeting at the rooftop bar? That's where I am now. Smoking section.

Sorry, got stuck on a phone call. I think I’ll just head down to the arena because doors open soon. I’ll be in section 123 row C. Cheers everyone!

Flying in from NYC with my gf tomorrow for this one. I have nothing but fantastic memories from yesteryear, my college days at the University of Chicago, catching Bob in this city.

Halloween Night 2000 at Northwestern University; the epic United Center show 10/27/01 on the Love & Theft tour--23 songs with an 8 song encore; the goodbye Charlie/Zevon piano tour fall '02 at Allstate and the 4-night Spring '04 stand at the Aragon, Riviera, Riv and Park West in successive nights.

I'm sure Mavis will be excited to be back home as well...

Thanks for reminding me about those four '04 shows; I was a college student in the suburbs and found a way to attend all four concerts. I agree with your later post that the Vic was the best; I also remember Tony (when walking in for either sound check or the concert) saying that we were all crazy to be waiting outside the venue all day long for that show (it was the worst weather of the four days, but I'm still glad for those general admission opportunities).

I also caught the fall '02 show after flying down a few days earlier to see the show in Bernalillo, NM...and then driving over to Indy a few days later to catch the late show there.

I was in Vegas and Ames over the last couple of weeks and loved both shows. Hope you get some Chicago magic tonight!....grave

Soon After Midnight the clocks go back one hour tonight (Sat) here in the UK, those Early Roman Kings will get an extra hour in bed. It's a lovely autumnal day outside this morning, not a hint of Stormy Weather, in fact it's just like Summer Days! Perhaps we will see some Shooting Stars here after all? Goodnight to the windy city, hope everyone enjoyed the show!

I was towards the back on the floor and the sound was surprisingly good for an arena (probably helps that they raised the scoreboard).
Other initial thoughts: very responsive and diverse crowd, Bob sang and enunciated well, the band rocked hard. I'll have to give the new "Tangled" another listen but I'm not sure about this version. On the other hand, the re-invented "Thunder On The Mountain" was one of the highlights (thanks for the video, brave cameraperson!).

Thanks for the great video! Bob is in a heavy mumbling mode on this one - you alsmost can't figure out whether he sings in english or not :)
