Stu seems to change it up quite a bit, one of the major Setlist changes witnessed these last few years!

It's not a Static Noodle...more so Dynamic!

Go Stu! Can anyone identify any of the other tunes that Stu has mimicked in Noodle History?

Listen here to this, it is the exact same melody. Interesting and weird!

I think we need someone who has a sh*tload of shows recorded from the beginning of the noodle (2012?)
to make an Evolution of the Noodle Compilation.

It probably warrants a three disc series. Who is willing to take this on???

a bonus feature of this disc would include a recording of Bob saying "hello" in all the different languages that he did for those two tours.

they all seem like they could lead into Gallow's Pole easily enough.

A starting point can be found in the compilation "Mr Piano Man tinkles the ivories in Europe 2012 - vol 2" (disc CD#4; track 9: Stu’s blues). Currently on Electric Ladyland:

Somewhere in these threads the date of the last "forced folk into bed with rock" announcement and the first Noodle.
Might find it eventually....

Not really. At least it sounds always the same to me (which doesn't mean much).

The main difference seems to be the length of his performance, but that's actually determined by how long George needs to take off his boots and get ready to signal the rest of the band in.

There's something great about hearing the foggy dew in the Royal Albert Hall. 'Britannia's Huns, with their long range guns sailed in through the foggy dew'

Hey Stu: 'Morning Dew' or 'Roll Away the Dew (Franklins Tower)' might give George more time to adjust his boots.

Did anyone else notice that George hits his drum twice to cue Bob on stage?
I noticed it during the fourth London show, at the start and after intermission. And again at the last show.

I was under the impression that he does a quick double hit once at the beginning of the show (with the exception of one show earlier in the year where he had to do it a second time because apparently the guys hadn't heard him ) and at least twice after the intermission.

If I'm not mistaken, I'll be sitting in front of him and Stu again tonight, so I'll try to remember to pay attention to it.

Btw, Bob got "lost" in the first RAH show after the intermission: he was following Charlie so closely that he was already walking next to the guitars when he realized that was not where he needed to go

To walk along the lonely street of dreams

Goin' down the only road I've ever known

if you listen to 10/21 RAH followed immediately by 10/22, you'll notice artifacts from the LoveSick intro strum
in the very beginning of the noodle. a nice touch.

And just to prove me wrong ( ), none of that happened tonight. The beginning of the first noodle was different and George played along after having cued the rest of the band in. After the intermission, George did only one quick double hit (I know that thing must have a name, but...).

Or maybe George can just leave his boots backstage

My suggestion would be that Stu plays one of Bob's famous 60's songs (e.g. Times...) just to tease the folks who go there to hear Bob sing all the songs we already know he's not going to sing

Isn't the electric one always the same, an improvisation of Sweet Home Chicago ?

They're both always the same with occasional small variations at the begin/end.

We'll see. Maybe we'll get some Bolognese Noodles next week

Tonight it was very standard. Both from Stu and George.

So no luck in Bologna either. The best we got was a bit of a hiccup at the beginning of the first noodle on the second night. Not entirely Stu's fault though.
