I hope the "hat on/hat off" thing becomes a permanent fixture both on stage and in the setlists

Bob was taking it off between songs in London and Nottingham, i think his head was itching or maybe his setlist is in his hat ?

"Hat on/hat off", five song mics on stage and previously mirrors everywhere on stage. Concepts you only see at a Bob Dylan concert,´

Clearly, Bob trusts Randy Newman more than his female fans.

Usual set, don't think twice instead of to Ramona, why try and change me now, love sick on piano. Hat on all show, band in silver glittery suits.

I asked because I loved the centre stage performances with the mike so much! Why the ??? haha I was surprised to read that he's suddenly decided to retreat to the piano for 'Love Sick'.

It looked like he did this quite spontaneously. The band seemed also be surprised. But let me say, it was one of the most engaged Love Sick I´ve ever heard.

And there's nothing like an engaged Lovesick.

I enjoyed the show, had row C seats so could see him clearly for most of it. Bob seemed quite happy and was smiling quite a bit whilst sitting at his piano. Standouts for me were THC and Love Sick, hope someone has recorded the show - i'd love to hear it all again.

Oh, and the lights on stage were superb. Absolutely stunning.

I was close to the front, the reason for lovesick on the piano was due to bob wanting a sip of water but Charlie started playing the chords so bob span around (lost his cool for a second) then slowly decided to play along on piano.

Interestingly a roadie brought another fresh cup out not long after but bob didn't drink from the new one the next time he walked up to it looked at and left it.

After don't think twice he got a tissue from the side of the stage blew his nose, couldn't tell he had a cold from his voice.

I noticed Donnie was having to encourage bob before and after pretty much every song, shaking bobs hand a few times and even clapping after early roman kings. I think bob knocked one of his iPads down when he lent over to speak to Donnie. Bob was on great form grinning and so were the rest of the guys.

Tony was loving early roman kings on acoustic upright bass and was plucking like his life depended on Duquesne whistle.

Also I remember some buzzin/crackle coming through the sound system, stu and Charlie walked over to bobs guitar amp and nodded that was the source of the noise. Bob thought it was the wire on the mic stand he was spinning around like a baton.

Did anyone notice that bobs mic was silent during one of the later songs? Can't remember which one but it was after he moved back to the piano.

As soon as they came on stage we knew the gig was going to be special, the mood and vibe was much better than Nottingham a few days back and bob didn't miss as many first lines out as he did in Nottingham.

This show and the second Manchester one from 2015 are my favourites I have attended due to the passion and joy of the band coming across.

Apologies for the appalling layout, grammar ect but I am trying to recall events whilst on a packed train back to the east coast of England.

The buzz/crackle in the PA system was there at Cardiff as well, but only really noticeable/annoying during Stormy Weather (the quietest song).

I finally made my first Dylan gig and truly a unique experience in many ways.

I found the demographics of the audience interesting, from small kids to senior's like myself.

The Echo arena is basically a massive aircraft hanger, so I knew what to expect in terms of sound and (in our case) pretty remote seating.

A set of nearly 2 hours length simply whizzed by, and I did enjoy the 'crooner' interludes.

A privilege to be there, and my teenage son now knows what the hype is all about.

The two not-really-Dylan-fans I went to Cardiff with both commented that they couldn't believe how quickly the show passed:

"I thought he'd been on for about half-an-hour!".

During Autumn Leaves Bob's vocals seemed to go up in volume quite a bit - did anyone else hear this?

Because there is no emotional or even intellectual engagement generated, the show just happens, time is not slowed down.

So I take it you went to no London shows? I'm sorry...I can understand not spending the money, I just wish some angel had given you a ticket.
