Bob Dylan live on stage in April
Italian Insider

ROME - Nobel Prize winner Bob Dylan will be performing at the Parco della Musica Auditorium this April. Dylan has been a widely celebrated American singer-songwriter for decades. He became a household name through his inspirational music recorded in the 1960s during the Civil Rights Movement.

José Dosal, the assistant director for the Musical Foundation of Rome, announced the news: “I am very proud and happy to host an artist so prestigious and important, a year and a half after he won the Nobel. He is a symbol of world music, a poet of the American song that the Italian public is sure will be met with immense enthusiasm. He is the first of the great names of a season that is full of surprises and that we will present tomorrow at the Auditorium.”

Bob Dylan will be performing in the Santa Cecilia room on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of April.

PURPOSE of the 'Live Set List' threads:
This is a spot to discuss & share your thoughts, perspectives & feelings surrounding the shows...
...before, during and after...whether you attend or not.
We especially love to hear the thoughts of those going, of those there, and of folks simply reflecting on whatever was.

As many of us know, it's not only about the Set List!
Most of us don't attend every show, in person. Yet we're interested. We go when we can.
We anticipate & relate to the energy of each other's experiences.
It's fun to hear about.

We love eyes in the field and feet on the ground. No pressure, no requirements. We understand.
Feel free to share your observations or post your links to any related text, audio, and video.
Whether you're there or wishing you were or wondering what the latest is, please comment!
And, above all, have some fun!

Anyone been in the venue before and can comment on stage height, acoustics or the vibe generally - should it be a good place to see Uncle Bob?

Amazing venue ...have been there many times, mostly for classical concerts. This should give you a good feel of the place: https://en.auditorium.com/location/sala_santa_cecilia-28.html

Which songs will it play?
Given the three consecutive shows will change some songs in the evening in the evening as in Madrid and on the last dates.

For shure, also for Long And Wasted Years.
If Bob has to play three standards, if he REALLY has to play them, I hope he plays three pieces from Triplicate like The September Of My Years and Once Upon A Time, instead Full Moon And Empty Arms, Why Try To Change Me Now and Melancholy Mood listen and listen again.

In my opinion I would like to hear pieces like To Ramona or Standing In The Doorway Crying. And Lonesome Day Blues and Cry A While instead others blues that he usually play.

Lucky you! If you are near the Pantheon, go see the rain falling through the Oculus onto the Church floor. It is really special.

Rome AND Bob Dylan. That really is a double Whammy!

Agreed. And as you come out of the Pantheon, there used to be a
nice little cafe/bar there on the left. Good place to stop and brew-up.

Thank you!
Will check out - all this helps my cover story with my wife: "This is a romantic trip to Rome. It's not all about Bob Dylan."

(It's always about Bob Dylan)

I’m thinking Bob hasn’t played ERK in Rome yet.
Played 391 times, including every night so far, on this 2018 Tour.

Rain is the perfect setting for Rome on Resurrection Sunday! I hope Mr. Dylan and the band can enjoy a Christian service today. And a romantic walk through ancient stone streets in quiet rain unhindered.

He did play it once, on 6/29/15. But he did not play it in 2013.
