Hello I am a relatively new Bob Dylan fan (about 3 years), I have never seen Bob Dylan live and being an apprentice i do not have the time or the money to go and see him in America. So i was just curious of if he has any plans to tour the UK or Europe? and when was the last time he actually did tour the UK (just curious)?
Thanks in advance

Welcome to ER Burrito!
Nothing definite yet, but Bob's in Europe a lot.

There's a rumor & tour thread here in this forum:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=88045

You can keep an eye on that and the ER front page for news.
Lots of others sources too:

Try Isis and also boblinks.com for a history of previous set lists.

Have fun.

Clarifying for newbies that Barefoot is referring to http://www.bobdylanisis.com/, not the other one.

Bob has toured Europe every year since 1987, apart from this year, so bad luck for choosing this year to become a fan!

Bob usually tours the UK every other year - 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015 ect. 2017 fits this pattern, so keep your eyes peeled.

Either way, I hope we'll see him again soon.

Sweden's not bad in December.
Although, little need for sunglasses most of the time.

Ever since we could make better use of funds for shows to actually see him. There'll be nothing to see in Stockholm on Dec 10 except as a live stream.

I didn't say I was going. I generally prefer multiple nights, too.

There's potential for that. The LitNob lecture is scheduled for the Wednesday before the awards ceremony on the Saturday.

Yeah, hafta think a little more on this.
Sweden's expensive once there, but a lot of flights to Europe are cheaper than domestic US flights right now.
Americans have been Fox-Newsed into thinking Europe is going to blow up during their dangerous visit.
Awesome time to travel, actually.

I'm hoping for both Glasgow and Ireland dates next year, I've got a friend who says he'll go with me to Ireland to see Bob (he wants to travel and is happy to go to the gig as part of that, he won't go in Glasgow). Good chance for my first multiple show tour.

Been to Stockholm a few times, but the long days of mid summer are better than the short ones of mid winter , though i guess it will be nicely dressed for Christmas.
If it is cloudless the sun is low so sunglasses useful until it gets dark in the early afternoon.
The good things, like food and drink, are heavily taxed ...presumably the government tries tax policy to encourage the locals to stay thin and sober.
Nice hotels are expensive , but if you are lucky you can find a more affordable basic place to sleep!

Been to Ireland a couple of times to see Bob and it's always fun. I was once on a flight from Glasgow to Cork on a small aircraft where everyone seemed to be Bob fans and setlists were being passed from row to row!

I look forward to sharing a pint at the next Glasgow show. :D
