"Had a woman down in Alabama
She was a backwoods girl, but she sure was realistic
She said, “Boy, without a doubt
Have to quit your mess and straighten out
You could die down here, be just another accident statistic”"

Bob Dylan to perform in Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile

Huntsville, Alabama, USA – Red Mountain Entertainment announced that legendary artist Bob Dylan will be performing three shows in Alabama this fall. Dylan, 75, made his debut in 1962. In May, Esquire named the songwriter the "greatest American singer of all time."

The Minnesota native made his mark on the music industry with songs like "One Too Many Mornings," "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35," and "All Along the Watchtower." According to Rolling Stone, Dylan is now "clearly the oldest performer in rock still making unassailably interesting and popular albums."

There will be one show each in Birmingham, Huntsville, and Mobile.

Huntsville's show is scheduled for October 29 at 8 p.m. at the Von Braun Center Concert Hall.

The Birmingham show will be at the BJCC Concert Hall on November 15 at 8 p.m.

The Mobile concert is on November 16 at 8 p.m. at the Saenger Theatre.

Also wondering what he will do with his day off between Jackson and Huntsville, I will be looking for him around my hometown of Muscle Shoals, in case he wants to revisit some old recording studios....

Might've even been '93.

It sounds like security may not even allow the updates, but I will try. I bought 3rd row seats on stubhub so I definitely don't want to get kicked out...
Really frustrating that it seems to be coming from Dylan's people to be so strict. Like there aren't a billion photos and videos already out there...

They are telling everyone coming in that u can't use the phone. It's really ridiculous. And really disappointing that it's coming from Dylan....

Other than in an emergency (and as a lifeline for those not at the shows), there really is no good reason to even want to use a phone during the show. Enjoy focussing on the main attraction. :)

As much as I might suffer for not getting a live update, I really miss the days when people spent concerts watching the concert. Dylan is kind of tilting at windmills here, though, given the tide.

At the encore. Everything the same except high water and pay on blood positions swapped. Sounds very good tonight. Crowd really in to it.

Shows over. Same encore. Great show. Took some pics after last song. Security wasn't too bad. Let me take a few before they said anything. I'll try to post later. Not sure how.

Hi JRob,

Great to hear from you! We appreciate observations from the "eyes on the ground."
Since you were there, can you please extrapolate regarding a few details on the Set List posted at boblinks.com (Thanks Bill!) below?

1. You mentioned a swap of HighWater & Pay in Blood.

2. Is Tony picking up guitars at all? A few songs on Set Lists posted since Shreveport mention it, (typos?).

Thanks for clarifying!

Hey, glad to help. I have been watching this site for years getting updates. So glad I can contribute a little. No im almost positive Tony never had a guitar. He used several different basses, acoustic electric stand up etc. I can't swear he never had a guitar but I don't think he did. I wish I had know. To be watching for that. I know some people like to know what he wears. It was a gray suit. Black stripe on pants. Black shirt with a "western" tie(idk what they are called). Hat with feather that I'm pretty sure he only wore during Things have changed and maybe for the encores.
