The Enigmatic Bob Dylan To Play The Winstar

Thackerville, Oklahoma, USA – The impact that the enigmatic Bob Dylan had on music and popular culture can still be seen today. Musicians including David Bowie, Nick Cave, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and Tom Waits have all stated the influence Dylan had on their music. Many musicians have covered a number of his songs including ''Knockin' on Heaven's Door'' and ''One More Cup of Coffee'' and fans not familiar with Dylan's work may not know that they are originally his compositions. On stage he is known for having unpredictable shows, never playing the same set twice. If you aren't familiar with his style, take the time to listen to a career retrospective or greatest hits album. Just don't expect to hear all (possibly any) of those songs in concert.

Last time he played in Thackerville:

2 May 2015

1. Things Have Changed
2. She Belongs To Me
3. Beyond Here Lies Nothin' (Bob Dylan-Robert Hunter/Bob Dylan)
4. Workingman's Blues #2
5. Duquesne Whistle (Bob Dylan-Robert Hunter/Bob Dylan)
6. Waiting For You
7. Pay In Blood
8. Tangled Up In Blue
9. Love Sick

10. High Water (For Charley Patton)
11. Simple Twist Of Fate
12. Early Roman Kings
13. Forgetful Heart (Bob Dylan-Robert Hunter/Bob Dylan)
14. Spirit On The Water
15. Scarlet Town

17. Long And Wasted Years
18. Autumn Leaves (Joseph Kosma, Johnny Mercer, Jacques Prevert)

Not long ago, to be frank. Quite rare for an obscure-ish city in the US to see Bob 2 years running, I guess.

This is a casino in the middle of nowhere just across the state line of Texas in Oklahoma. What in the world are they doing there for almost three whole days? Hopefully they are staying in Dallas for now...

Yes they do claim to be the largest in the world. I think it goes back and forth as different ones expand.

I was there once for dinner with a friend and walked part of the quite expansive gaming floors.

Just for fun I punched in:
What is the worlds largest casino?
And this came up:

The 10,500,000-square-foot (980,000 m2) Venetian Macao is modeled on its sister casino resort The Venetian Las Vegas, and is the seventh-largest building in the world by floor area. The Venetian Macao is also the largest casino in the world, and the largest single structure hotel building in Asia.

I have no idea if it's true. The Winstar may have surpassed it since.
I think we like Bob in a small room though.
