Sorry if I'm not posting this in the correct spot. But I have some predictions/theories.

1) Thackerville will be his final NET show. Hope not but I'm still itching to get a ticket even though I live in NY - just in case I'm right!

2) he will play Red River Shore during this performance.

3) along with his other interests, he will spend the rest of his days recording Sinatra's complete canon.

4) whatever set he plays during the first desert trip set he will repeat that set for his second desert trip performance.

5) he will debut Narrow Way during desert trip

Who else? Am I right?

I think number 4 is the only one that's likely to happen

Although, I hope 2 and 5 are correct

Thanks nighty I agree with you. Still fun to speculate.

Barefoot, what I meant but didn't get across well was, "who else (keeps us guessing like Dylan), am I right"

I rarely write anything on here. I don't think I know any better than anyone on here. Just having fun.

Heck

6) he'll spend his 80s as a Vegas lounge singer

Who else? Am I right?

Got my Thackerville ticket.
silver package . front row behind vip.
kinda expensive...wanted front row package, bit i couldnt justify 450$.
I miss the days of being able to get on TM early and hoping for front row at decent prices,
Then settling for 5th or 6th.

Will be driving 7 hours for this one.

Have to wonder why no others shows have been announced..
Wanted to wait to see if he would come closer to me, but didnt want to miss out.
Also, i have to wonder whether he would announce a final tour, or just call it quits one day without any warning.
Gonna enjoy seeing my fav artist of all time while i can.

all your predictions are wrong
1. Louisville is after Thackerville
2. why? He had been to Thackerville before (2015)
3. unlikely, it will get boring even for him
4. no way – at the first show they (BD + the Stones) will try Like A Rolling Stone together. After that attempt Bob either insists of doing My Way together or he thinks to himself 'I'll never do a song with such shitty guitarists again' or the Keith Richards suggest that Bob replaces Mick Jagger during the whole Stones set, while Jagger decides to replace Stu (with the result that the Stones as well as Bobs band refuse to play. The gigs is cancelled or Neil Young does both shows for them…
5. no way

I like the way you think, Llama. Perhaps a 3-night run at the Aragon a la 2009?

it's my birthday week & I would love to see those states too. https://www.rome2rio.com/s/Thackerville/New-York
& my guy is into a road trip, so we'll leave on Oct 18th or so & have an adventure.
He doesn't wanna go to show, (not a big fan) So I just got a tix for me. That's cool. I love going to shows solo.

Well, at this point, just about everybody else?

When's the last time Dylan really DID keep us guessing?

- He's been touring relentlessly for the last 28 years. So an annoucenment of a new tour surely wouldn't count?
- He's been playing largely the same (self-written) songs for the last 300+ shows. You know there's trouble ahead if the Rolling Stone setlist has more variation!

Yes, he did some unusual things, but narrowing down the song selection to make it easier for everyone involved and
seemingly stopping to write new songs (again to make it easier?) are hardly outragous actions for someone who just turned 75. He's kind of following Johnny Cash's path here.

He can do whatever he wants (and he will) and I'm happy that he's still around, but unless you've been living under a rock since 2012, nothing he is currently doing should come as any surprise.

Tour predictions:

1. Everyone watching Desert Trip on pay-per-view at home will hail Bob's sets as transcendent. Everyone actually in attendance will report audience horror stories of disruptive, drunken Stones fans, "Sit down!" battles, aggressive security gorillas and overflowing outhouses.

2. During the first DT weekend, Keef and Ronnie, all smiles, will roll on stage to play a LARS encore with Bob & The Band. A good time will be had by all...except Bob. This guest appearance will not be repeated on weekend #2.

3. At the Lubbock TX show, the band will throw a few bars of "That'll Be The Day" into "Lovesick" -- freaking out the ER board and giving Bill Pagel something new to type.

4. At some point mid-way through the tour, Bob will order Tony to fire Stu for falling asleep on stage, on his feet.

5. An early holiday gift, the Fort Lauderdale crowd will be treated to "Christmas In The Heart" in its entirety.

And how I could forget...

6. One of Bob's grandkids will give him a Donald Trump Chia Pet as a joke. Bob, finding it hilarious, will place it atop his piano for most of the tour...also as a joke. A baffled Clinton Heylin will pen a 10,000-word essay, heavily quoting Empire Burlesque lyrics.

Guessing that Matt is probably correct.
Similar to the 1994 25th Anniversary show commemorating "Woodstock," when Bob just did basically what he'd been touring at the time.

Of my predictions, Number 3 is still in the mix!

TRIPLICATE !! coincidence or. . . something else?!

I'm pumped for this release! I now know songs that only a certain generation would be familiar with. Being raised by immigrants, and not having grandparents these songs have alluded me. What an education I'm getting! I couldn't be happier to hear that we have THREE more of them coming out on the THIRD month of this year!

My vote is, I hope he does Frank's full cannon. Now THAT would be something
