I have extra tickets to the Denver show in the middle section, second row. I want to sell them but I'm not allowed to pick them up until the day of the show... Has anyone heard of this will call only policy? How am I supposed to sell them?

I just got tickets for both of the Philadelphia shows!
Thanks for the presale scoop. ER members are the tops.

How do you get into the presale?

ETA: Figured it out! PM me if you need the code.

Really hoping to get in on the presale for Denver... anybody who might be able to help me out with a password for any of these crazy sites?

The whole point is to prevent people from buying and then selling for profit

Yes, but what is strange is that for some shows (e.g., Vegas), only certain seats are Will-Call only; others could be purchased and resold directly through Ticketmaster (or on other sites, as tickets were provided through email).

You can't know the rules for each seat until it is in your cart and you see the delivery methods. So, if those were Will-Call only, then you will evidently have to pick up those tickets with the credit card used to purchase them. You could still sell them on craigslist and other places but only with the agreement that people can meet you at the venue on the day of the show to get the tickets; Stubhub would not be an option from what I know about that website. Sorry you got stuck with a few extras...grave

I just feel bad having two empty seats next to me on the second row haha. Not trying to profit from them, seems weird I can't return them or transfer them in any way. I think all tickets are transferable except for those on the first ten rows that were bought through the amex presale.

Either a giant screw-up on behalf of the ticket outlets or another step to discorage multiple ticket purchases? If you only buy for yourself, picking them up at will call shoudn't be a huge obstacle.

Very true. The problem we ran into is that we saw all of these resale seats on the "Map of Seats" on Ticketmaster, so we just assumed that we could sell seats that we purchased if we then found better seats at the general sale rather than presale. Our intention was never to make a profit; but with all of these different levels of sales, it's not always easy to know that you are finding the best possible seats.

Fortunately--and surprisingly--when we explained this to Ticketmaster, they did take back the first group of tickets we purchased, mostly because we had secured better seats that popped up just minutes after finishing the first purchase....grave

All you pre-showdate ticket buyers have admirable stamina and the patience of saints.
Getting a headache just watching & reading your antics.
Rarely do I ever have a ticket in hand when arriving at a show.
Way less stress.

Ha! I've been wondering for the past 72 hours just how much more of this stress I could stand. Still have to run the gauntlet of the DC general sale tomorrow a.m. What's your secret, barefoot? Do you simply trust to serendipity? I rather thought the days of people trying to unload tickets at showtime were long gone... perhaps not?

No secret, Palin. Just perseverance.
Serendipity is certainly a piece of it.
Also a positive attitude, I guess.
And the faith that there's always a ticket somewhere.
Just gotta poke around.
Once, I even met someone from hERe pre-show, on our words.
Worked pretty slick, but have only done that once. Check the boards.
I think it was near election night in Charlotte.

Not everyone is super internet savvy or intent on going through the secondary sales / scalping websites, or even ebay. It does seem that there are always tickets. There's always the friend who couldn't be there, or the partner not feeling good the night of the show, and people selling their spare tickets at face value.

It's nice to know that these sorts of opportunities still exist. I guess I'd lost a bit of faith in some aspects of basic human decency.. lol. With Dylan, I think I'm making up for lost opportunities and trying to ensure I get the best I can get while the getting's good. For shows I'm not quite as passionate about, however, I will definitely add people-selling-at-the-door to my list of options. :-)

Looks like I'll be one of these people at the Denver show trying to get rid of a second row ticket. Probably end up selling for way less than face value.

Were any of the concerts this year General Admission? Or were they all seated/assigned?

The D.C. show is GA standing room. I believe it's the only one on the tour. :)

the last gig of the tour is on Nov. 16th, thanksgiving is on Nov 23… question answered? (pure speculation, of course)

btw: If anybody is going to complain about ticket prices. (s)he is right. I saw the Rolling Stones twice during the last seven days and I payed 65 Euros for each show (offical ticket, legally bought!) and I got No Filter Pit (i.e. GA right in front of stage) for both shows. Plus I witnesses the soundcheck in Hamburg for free (from a few hundred meters distance tough)

That speculation is logical & probable, Slew.
Tour doesn't usually end that early...there's at least a few shows waiting to pop.
NYC is not out of the question, Bach.
