Ok, let's jump off the bridge and take a big guess..... here it is....

Paris is going to be Rome..... he is going to flip the whole thing on it's head and do a whole different song list.

Bob, are you listening??????

At the risk of sounding rude..... this static set list is not amusing anymore..... God didn't give you all those songs to write so that you can keep playing the same ones night after night...... It is getting BORING!!!

OMG... did I just say that????
Next thing you know I am going to go back to asking for Born In Time :?

Is anyone really selling those t-shirts with 'Bob Dylan... been pissing people off since 1965'.... I want one :P
So does the magic man and the wise woman......

I disagree. I'll be there and actually like the set. And Bob does make some changes, like a new Frank's cover in Germany.
Even though I liked the versions he did this summer, those concerts here are dedicated to Frank, so it's normal he's concentrating on this material.
And do we really need to hear an half-hearted version of let's say Queen jane? Bob has the right to decide what he wants to play. It's better than a museum visit with Grandad Mick (or Brenda like Keef said  ).

We will have some surprises for sure, but don't expect something like Bob pleasing fans (was there really one concert where everyone was pleased since the NET kicked off? or 1965? even the folky Dylan pissed some people).
I'd really like to see him doing covers of Billie Holliday or Nat King Cole for instance (since he loved them as much as Frank when he started). Why not Gloomy Sunday?

Keep up the good work Bob if you're reading this :)

Please don't encourage him.
I'd much rather drink beer than coffee at his shows.

I find the Sinatra stuff draggy. The idea of filling the rest of the set with Billie Holiday or Nat Cole numbers fills me with horror, much as I like those 2 artists. No, Bob, how about some Charley Patton songs if it's gotta be covers?

He can do what he wants, but come on. This new voice needs to be applied to his own stuff. It'd be great!

Obviously, you're intitled to your own opionion and I'm not argue with that, and yes, Bob can (and will) do whatever he wants. But answer me this. As a Bob Dylan fan (and I assume you are a Dylan fan and not a Western Swing and Jazz fan who gravitated towrads Dylan because all the original interpreters of thoses genres are long gone). If Bob came up to you and asked you to name any five songs he'd do for you in concert the next time you see him: Would you REALLY pick more Sinatra covers and Nat King Cole and Billie Holiday numbers?

Hell, I'd probably throw in a wild card in a (hypothetical) scenario like that as well and have him do a cover of something he's never been done before, but for the rest I could think of at least 50 Dylan songs I'd put on that last before I'd arrive at "more Sinatra" or Nat King Cole.

There's dozens of Dylan songs where I'd probably pee my pants if I'd be at the show where he did them for the first time, just out of sheer excitement. I'm pretty sure that all pants stayed firmly dry when he did "Melancholy Mood" the other night, because 99% (or more) of the people didn't know the song and had absolutely no connection to it.

I'll tell you why, too: People love Dylan for his songwriting, you apparently don't because you favor covers over his own numbers. People like him as an ever-changing performer, you apprently don't because the covers are pretty much identical each night *and* in more cases than not, tend to follow the versions he was inspired by vocally instead of being total reinventions vocally.

Which must mean that you like - his voice. Not his singing style, mind you, but his VOICE. Again, you are entitled to your own opinion, but I find this absolutely hilarious.

Remember that long-ass intro that they used for 10+ years from 2002 on, that listed all of his achievements? I don't recall that "great voice" was one of them.

The same could be said about the first time most people heard Like A Rolling Stone.

I find it more odd (I'll stop short of hilarious) that someone would listen to a singer and not like his voice.
