That's true, the possibility that we hear TIFILWY again in the near future is quite a thrill!

This was the absolute greatest Tempest-set show I've ever heard/seen. Every song was perfect!! Charlie got to solo alot, and less plonking by Bob.

"We're chilling in our dressingroom listening to some nice tunes on 7" and Sylvester (Schlegel) puts on Hot Hot Hot. Suddenly the bass player of Bob Dylan walks in and is like "Hey, I play bass on this record!" and tells us the story of how it was recorded."

Yes. Nice catch, Schoolie! Schooled again.

Castle view. "All along the watchtower, Princes kept the view while the women came and went barefoot servant too. while out side in the distance, a wild cat did growl two riders were approaching the wind began to howl."

Rain came down in torrents tonight. wondering who turned on the tap.

Back from yesterdays show. There is really not much to report back on since all these shows are so steady and similar. Sofiero was a beautiful venue (a castle garden). The swedish support act was horrible! A pop ensemble with a falset male singer! Interestingly they seemed not to be allowed to mention Bob by name but kept repeating this as the best day of their lives performing on the same stage as the "main act". On to the main act then...

Ususal set, which I have now experienced eight times since the inital show with this format in Copenhagen last year. This was a pretty good performance. For me it was a notch higher than Rostock which I saw last week.

How long will Bob continue general admission shows? Most of the crowd is about his own age or 60+ atleast. It seems kind of bad to have people stading around for 3-4 hours at this point. Also both last night and in Rostock I noticed 50+ men getting in fight mode because of the shuffling. Highlight of the evening for me was WMB#2 which they nailed completely. The new intermezzo part and "Shadows in the Night like" arrangement really suits the song. I can't wait for the new album to come out and see some of those songs integrated in the setlist. The same goes for Duquesne Whistle where they got all the breaks right for a change. Waiting for You is becoming bore moment for these general admission crowds. Hucks Tune would be a welcomed change IMO. Only downers of the night were the songs endings. In Spirit on the on Water the whole band were appearently asleep and was about to end the song a verse too soon. Also the that the band totally botched the finish of Long Wasted Years. They basically did the ring out at " since we walked down that long, long aisle". This was VERY embarrasing as the last line and ending of the show is one of Bobs shine moments doing his one man formation routine. As mentioned in my Rostock review I find it very bad that these topnotch muscians are able to mess so much up as they do, considering that they play the same songs every night for months andd some of these songs for years!

But all in all a very nice evening but to be honest I really don't need to see any more of these shows, since everything is so streamlined and lacks the surprise elements of setlist changes and underrehearsed songs being played like we have been used to. This does not mean that I dont like what they do at the moment, but hopefully they have a fresh setlist ready for next years euro gigs.

Thanks for the review, Blind Boy Zimmerman. To me a lot of the songs are essentially played out. Simple as that.

I cannot confirm this at all. There's people all ages at the show. It's always a mixed crowd. Many young people. Mother with two pre-teen kids right next to me in Flensburg. Teen boy absolutely awed by his first Dylan show (and being offered space at the rail for the encore) in Rostock. Pretty much forever young crowd of travelling tourgoing people. We need GA shows.
