Here's a decent Harold review from today's front page.

*ER folks that attended & Dylan, Inc. say Dusquesne was played...Boblinks does not list.*

Dylan’s fall tour starts in Oslo with a debut, a surprise, and an intermission

October 10, 2013
By Harold Lepidus

Bob Dylan began his autumn trek at the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway, earlier today, with a few twists compared to recent tours.

*(There is some confusion regarding the set list.)*

First of all, Charlie Sexton, who was one of three lead guitarists used during his Dylan’s last tour, is back. The lineup for rest of the band - Tony Garnier, George Recile, Stu Kimball, and Donnie Herron - remains unchanged.

Secondly, there was an intermission halfway through the evening. It is unclear at this point if this will continue in future shows, but Dylan did play 17 or 18 songs (depending on the source), a slightly longer show than usual.

The song selection and order were also changed. Missing were “Love Sick,” “High Water,” “Blind Willie McTell,” and “Ballad Of A Thin Man,” all regulars from last summer’s “AmericanaramA” tour. Back in favor, at least in Oslo, were the welcome return of “What Good Am I?” and, surprisingly, “It’s Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding).”

Oh, yeah, there was one more. The first ever performance of “Long and Wasted Years,” the sixth song from “Tempest” to be played in concert. In fact, the entire show still focused on recent material, in this case with only four songs from the 1960s (early on, then during the encores), two from “Blood On The Tracks,” one for “Oh Mercy” (recently covered by Tom Jones), and the remaining nine or ten are from this century.

The eight-song second set was a “Tempest” sandwich, beginning with “Early Roman Kings,” and ending with two or three more from the album, climaxing with the debut of “Long and Wasted Years.” In between, aside from “Simple Twist Of Fate,” it was a three song Bob Dylan 2000’s sampler.

Time will tell what the correct set list was. This is what we have so far.

Spektrum, Oslo, Norway: October 10, 2013

1. Things Have Changed
2. She Belongs To Me
3. Beyond Here Lies Nothin'
4. What Good Am I?
5. Pay In Blood
6. Duquesne Whistle (Listed on Dylan's official site only)
7. Tangled Up In Blue
8. It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)

(Intermission)

9. Early Roman Kings
10. Simple Twist Of Fate
11. Summer Days
12. Forgetful Heart
13. Spirit On The Water
14. Scarlet Town (Not listed on Dylan's official site.)
15. Soon After Midnight
16. Long And Wasted Years

(encore)

17. All Along The Watchtower
18. Blowin' In The Wind

Set list courtesy Bob Links and Dylan's official site.

Why didn't he go from Forgetful Heart directly into Scarlett Town. ITs more or less the same sound and song.

I'd take Forgetful Heart over Scarlet live anytime.

actually the spirit delivery right now is rather... spirited
i haven't considered L&WY slow on the grounds of its extreme verbosity.

what a great setlist thread! it made my 3 hour class discussion much more enjoyable! Buddhism can wait when Bob's in Oslo!

thanks for the reviews feedback and vids!
glad Charlie's back. He is unleashed and throwing in a little Denny for good measure. much more going on in the songs again. Duke did not deliver that, even though I enjoyed him too. Did you see him get Stu's back for the start of Tangled? Duke would not have known what to do. He also fixed Duke's static melody for that song. I am not surprised by Cipher Pipe's response. great review!

man the setlist- a helluva thing when you scan through and see Summer Days as the only possible wink link in the chain. The welding practice is making its way to the stage! keep on rollin Bob.

it gives me strength to live knowing that I could one day hear It's alright ma in concert again.

The setlist on Boblinks is the correct one, only Duquesne Whistle was played before Tangled.

I think closing the encores with Don't Think Twice would be perfection. Or It Ain't me, Babe. Either of them would make a great 'now x off into the night, babe' farewell. I know it sounds nasty, but it sure would be drama.

Its Alright Ma ... Yay ... Finally! sends shivers up my spine . . . sounds like a good version, too -- needs a bit more cohesion . . .

LOL. Not a big fan of lots of slow songs. But I guess it works when its primarily a sit-down audience.

Yes...lot's of 1990's shows that way, sometimes even following with What Good Am I? as a two song encore!

He looks really well, albiet a bit tired - probably from the long flight, etc.

God Bless Bob Dylan. Like the EverReady bunny, he keeps goin' and goin' and goin'....

Lucky us.

OK, Things can go on the shelf anytime..sorry to be a wet towel...
Great song. Put it away and let it age a bit....

She Belongs to Me - Donnie pretty much owns this song... nicely done...lost the dramatic bass drum, but kept the same beat... Bob is the man! Sounding great!

Haven't even torched the Puro yet...2 Double Bags in...

Here comes Beyond...a leg 1 rocker...really made me appreciate it moreso then...this is similar so far...now Charlie is doing some tasty licks...Bob's piano is good..and they sound tight. Going through the motions near the end though.

What Good Am I? Time to light up...

What Good Am I? feels just slightly sped up...almost rushed...still good...probably I'm spoiled by the Spring. I'm good with this in the set. Love it.

Pay In Blood - the Charlie version..first non-Duke version? Might be...I like it. Also slightly sped up from Spring...tear ya limb from limb...good vibe..another Politician pumpin out his piss...Charlie will develop if is stays...Duke had this nailed...hear me holler, here me moan...there's Charlie doing something...I'll break your lousy head...how do ya plead? This is how...yup...Charlie might wanna study Duke for ideas on this one and then brand it...

Dusquesne - confirmed. I don't know why Bob doesn't just beat the rush and dump Summer Days for this...we'll see what leg 3 Summer sounds like first before opionating. I'm already a little bored with Dusquesne until the jam, if there is still one...oops, wet towel showing again...you're a Rascal!
OK, there's the jam...reminiscent of the old Summer Days jams that kicked ass in the early 2000's...oh, very short jam though...pulled the leash a little quick, oh well...Bob, let the line out on this and the place'll be stompin'...another mini leashed jam and done. Can't handle this and Summer days in the same set so far this year.

Early One Mornin' The Sun Was Shinin' - "Sure was...gonna be rough...radio blastin the news..Donnie!...need to lean back and enjoy this cigar... The Milky Way is right there...

Tomorrow might as well be now...Some of 'em just left town...
Goin' through the motions...put this one on the shelf for a while too...

It's Alright Ma - Different fiddle start...there's no sense in tryin'...something new, I'm likin' this one. I'm only sigh-iiiinnng...except-ahh hatred...really liking Donnie...he again owns the show under-the-radar...it ain't he or she or them or it that you belong to...obscenity who really cares?...what else can ya...show me?...it's life and life only...I really like this fiddled-up version...

We're gonna take a short break here and we'll be right back ok? OK!
