Right on!

Bobby Vee

Suzie, baby, where are you
Have you left me for someone new

Is your lovelight shining bright
Will you love me or leave me tonight

Suzie, baby, don't you know
That I love you and want you so

Come back, baby, come back home
Say you love me and never again roam

Suzie, baby, I love you
Say you'll come back and love me too

Since you left me, gone away
I've been lonely, alone each day

Suzie, baby, where are you
Have you left me for someone new

Suzie, baby, don't you know
That I love you and want you so

Someday, baby, you'll be blue
And you'll wish that you'd
Die for me too

"I used to live here. Since then, I've played all over the world w/ all kinds of people. None was more important than Bobby Vee." -Dylan

For those who don't know, Bobby Vee has retired & is diagnosed w/ Alzheimers. He hired a teenage Dylan as a piano player way back when.

Hey Smokey. Yep....WPB. I'll post some thoughts on it in the next few days.

Nice to hear...or read about Bob speaking on stage. But....who knows if he really played with Bobby V.

My fingers are crossed that someone (King Of Beers, maybe) captures this performance. It's always great to hear a new cover song. :D

Back to regularly scheduled show: All Along the Watchtower. Still can't get over how sweet & meaningful the Bobby Vee tribute was, tho.

Edit: that settles that.

It may be getting my hopes up falsely, but after how static the Setlists have been, I'll take Variances(no matter how small) two nights in a row as a good sign of the possibility of some shaking up by the time they reach Saratoga.

One can only hope.

"Mr. Tambourine Man" please Bob?

Oh, and I look forward to hearing this Tribute to Bobby Vee.

I still remember Bob doing a Tribute to Walter Cronkite in Syracuse in 09 strangely before "Million Miles".

A recording of that show(and the Tribute) has never surfaced. :(

The show started 25 minutes late, presumably because Bob was backstage talking to his old Bandmate from Fargo. Stage crew ran out a lyric sheet to the piano just before the band came out. Just about every song was more inspired and better-sung than the previous night. Bob was a bit more animated and jivey.

Highlights: Love Sick, Soon after Midnight, Tangled with more alternate lyrics including "some are up on the mountain, some are in the ground, some are _____ and some just moved outta town!", She Belongs to Me (with more singing than the night before) a very good Hard Rain, sung with a lot of force, and of course Suzie Baby with a very sincere, sweet intro.

Again, Blowin' for the encore. A very memorable show.

Hi guys! I don't usually, if ever post here, but I figured I would share this with you. Here's a link to Dylan's Bobby Vee tribute last night in MN... sounds amazing. I apologize for the guy talking at the end though :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trMIU_iFSwY
