Latest cryptic stuff from Duke

"For The month of July, Duke Robillard and Jack Gauthier are running a special for single, demo or album poroduction at the legendary Lakewest Recording in West Greenwich, RI inquire at jpgmanagement@gmail.com"

Wonder how he can be producing albums while being on stage with Bob? Hopefully he stays on tour.

Interesting catching up on the discussion.... Unprofessional to maintain an online "tour diary" with "behind-the-scenes" photos? Since when? If that's the case, there's a lotta unprofessional professional musicians out there. I don't do FB so I can't see Duke's tour diary, but I'm sure Duke has lawyers & knows what his contract allows him to do or not do. I'm equally sure that the diary entries are fluff pieces designed to generate interest in the tour & his subjects know they're being photographed with the possibility that they'll be on the internet. What type of scandalous material can Duke post about the tour? Has he told us that Bob doesn't floss at night or that Bob doesn't put the toilet seat down when he's done? Is he posting pictures of Stu in the bath tub with his rubber duckie?

To be sure, there's been unprofessionalism associated with the NET over its 25 years, but not from Duke. Try these on for size & guess the guilty party behind these actions:
> Leaving the NY '89 show in the middle of a song without telling the band. (Sure, I thought it was funny, too, but it's unprofessional.)
> (Alleged) drunkenness on stage at times during the early '90's.
> Letting J.J. Jackson show up for rehearsal only to find out he'd been replaced by Larry.
> Scolding band members while on stage. (It happened to Larry, Stu, now Duke...& others I'm sure.)
> Having Lukas Nelson & Charlie audition for Denny's job while they were on stage with Denny.

Any guesses?

If Bob were to play guitar again; it would be "Simple Twist of Fate" and that's it.

& he did bring it back to his set.

Ha! You say that only because you've never been on a three-week storm duty with a bunch of insurance adjusters!

I'll bet he stays on the tour. I don't know the first thing about producing an album. But nowadays with technology it seems just about any job in the world can be done from a remote location. Possibly whoever this Jack may be is doing the grunt work & sending sound files to Duke over the internet, then Duke provides feedback. Doesn't strike me as being outside the realm of possibility.

I think that Duke is just pissed off that Bob won't introduce him from the stage.

I think you're not wrong. The past Spring shows were some of the best I've been to in years.
We shall see.

Oh, man, I hate to see it happen.....

Can't think of anything less interesting than Charlie Era #3. Duke renewed my interest in the NET. I thought that most of the shows I heard from 2010-12 were dull, pedestrian affairs; I downloaded very few, deleted most of the ones I did download.

Oh, well, to those of you who feel the same way....don't get mad, get Duke's CD's!
They're for sale at http://www.dukerobillard.com/store/secure/index.cfm & he'll autograph 'em for you---& I can tell you he's never made a bad one!

Meanwhile....no danger of me downloading any more NET shows henceforth.

See ya'll over at the MLB 2013 thread.

Oh, I thought you meant Duke's Dylan CD collection was being autographed...that'd be funny.

Long distance information, .....where was Duke in Tennessee??
Help me find this party trying to get in touch with he. Duke could not leave his number, but he Facebooked on the wall 'Cause my uncle took that posting cut and pasted it for all
Help me, information, get in touch with our Bobby D. He's the only one who'd know whats up, but he don't talk to me. His home is on a provost bus the south to north states leads. Bet he's, high on an all night ride ....half a mile from the Mississippi Bridge (no rhythm I know oops)

Help me, information, more than that I cannot add Only that I miss Duke :( and all the fun we had ,,,,,,,But we were pulled apart because with Bob he did not agree. And it tore apart our Americanarama show right there in Memphis Tennessee
Last time I saw Dukey he was waving a good-bye..... With hurry here buy barely used lps & cd's they used to play just fine..... Duke is only 64 some , information please Try to put me through to him in Memphis Tennessee
