Do you think so really? Maybe he just wanted it in the (chillier?) mountain air.

Yes, I think so really. Makes it much harder to see his face unless you're quite near the stage, and depending on the light it can obscure much of it even to those in the front row.

Bob played Shelter in Northampton in 1997, 2003 and now again in 2012. Don't think he has played there other than those three shows. Not a statistically relevant sample (3 shows), but still made me look it up (mostly because I love the 2003 version, which was a rarity back then too).

He also played it in Northampton/Florence in 2007 - Look Park. Some of the ER members had a fun pre-picnic. Hi Roll! Hi Claudette!

They called the police on everyone up front. And yes! The hat is back.

Very mellow crowd though. And not much the cops could really do but stand there, try to look authoritative and just let it run its course. I agree, nice venue. I didn't mind the mirrors, Beans, and also I didn't really understand them. They were too small to have much of an effect beyond the first few rows, especially when the lights dimmed. Art, I guess. Lighting flashes in the distance beyond Stu were impressive though. Speaking of Stu, I want Sphere to know that I did watch him closely and he did contribute a little something here and there, not a lot, but some. And good rhythm on the acoustic at times as well.
The band was fantastic overall. I liked the times that they'd do a call-and-response, bringing it way down and then once we were sucked down the hole into a trans-like vortex they'd hit the gas and come on like a screaming freight train irresistably dragging everyone into oblivion along with them. Great stuff. More is good!

Where he also played Shelter (and Every Grain for that matter). Now I am not sure it is a coincidence anymore.

Sorry 'bout not posting the live setlist. I went to the rail and left my phone behind. Didn't want to loose my spot. Security called the police when we wouldn't sit down. They got us to sit down and when they left we went right back to the rail.

That's the way to do it!

The hat, yea that's part of his hiding game.... :|

Maybe he saw those recent videos where he looks so young and warm and natural...and decided it must be stopped

That one should be out in about 10 years.
