The man is so inspired lately! Such variation with the setlists, much moreso than last tour. Mez thinks the inspiration has come from "birdies" chirping in his ears.. He's heard the "buzz" from Tempest critics, & his fanbase... He can't help but be joyful & it's a showing! you go BobMan! ps What's next playing the song JWH cowboy band style - woooah that'd be inspiration alright! MEZ

The TTL songs have vanished again.... No seriously, seems like another gem of a setlist. He should play 3.5 hr sets to meet our demands of variety. MEZ

I was thinking about Shelter From The Storm all day and wondered why he hasn't played it in a while. Good to know it's back, but won't be played tomorrow night.

Shelter looks better on paper. Wasn't a highlight for me tonight.

1. Watching The River Flow
At least Leopard is staying away.

2. Don't Think Twice, It's All Right
Standard with Grand twist.

3. Things Have Changed
Rushed?

All was good then a slashed (wineman's delight) rearranged Tangled with some 84 lyrics and others thrown in for good measure.

4. Tangled Up In Blue
Too short

5. The Levee's Gonna Break
ON FIRE! Highlight and energy kicker-offer.

6. Make You Feel My Love
Good to have in the set...a little snoozy version.

7. Honest With Me
CRANKED

8. Every Grain Of Sand
CRISP & clear from my vantage point.

9. High Water (For Charley Patton)
DESTROYED THE PLACE! What a banjo rocker.

10. Desolation Row
DAMN NICE

11. Highway 61 Revisited
GAINED NEW RESPECT

12. Shelter From The Storm
See above.

13. Thunder On The Mountain
FUN

14. Ballad Of A Thin Man
HOLY SHIT. especially the last half

15. Like A Rolling Stone
Umm, ok

16. All Along The Watchtower
Nice.

(encore)
17. Blowin' In The Wind
We'll take it

Highlights summary IMHO: Levee! High Water! Desolation! Hwy 61! Thin Man!

For Dylan ticket holders only: Beer festival across the street gave free parking (save $5) and $20 all you can drink from kickass local breweries (instead of $35 full price) with a Dylan show ticket. So a $20 savings to "taste" all you want. Good deal and very handy.

Just getting in. Northampton is a fun town.

A lot of standers at the show, but folks just don't dance anymore....I did...a lot.

Sorry 'bout not posting the live setlist. I went to the rail and left my phone behind. Didn't want to loose my spot. Security called the police when we wouldn't sit down. They got us to sit down and when they left we went right back to the rail.

I am just shocked.... .....
But I am not sure about what..... that they thought you would sit down.... that they called the police..... or that you have not given us a fashion report yet.... I saw videos with a....a....a hat on his head  Mirrors and a hat??? Must be something happening here.....

Hey, you getting a good show is much more important than a live set list.... hope you had a great time.... glad you are not in jail.... you aren't are you? :? :P

They called the police on everyone up front. And yes! The hat is back.

 I picture BostonAreaBobFan as a long-legged sireeeen perched on the end of Bob's piano, then lying across it with a rose in her teeth, gazing at him as he sings "Make You Feel My Love".

Do you think so really? Maybe he just wanted it in the (chillier?) mountain air. Didn't the pictures from last night of the whole ensemble-hat and all look so nice.
The stage and accoutrements-so interesting!

Will there be a rail at the bus? ....no, I am sure it is best if we don't plan on going near the bus :P will there be mirrors on the bus? :?

 Fair Warning! I'm guessing Lily would be in the door of the bus, clutching a giant clock, pistols drawn, rapier at the ready, looking like Travis Bickel meets Alice In Wonderland, hollering

I want to apologize to those of you who had front row tickets last night. I couldn't just sit there and watch that 10 feet of grass grow in front of the rail while some of you were looking at yourselves in those mirrors.

Also, I apologize to the one policeman who did show up because we were disobedient. Regardless, I thought Shelter was fantastic.

Bob played Shelter in Northampton in 1997, 2003 and now again in 2012. Don't think he has played there other than those three shows. Not a statistically relevant sample (3 shows), but still made me look it up (mostly because I love the 2003 version, which was a rarity back then too).

"Shelter From the Storm" was played in Billings, Montana in 2010. Actually have this show on my phone, great set list. Wonderful "Just Like A Woman" from this show too.

Isn't it a timely offering, because of Tempest!
