Buffaloed in Buffalo. Let's hope they ain't road weary after zipping all the freakin' way out to Lewiston and back.

From: http://www.iheg.com/mountain_park_main.asp

Holyoke, Massachusetts, USA - Bob Dylan is widely hailed as the most influential musician of the 20th century. Known for his rich and poetic lyrics - the first in rock to be seriously regarded as literature, his work had considerable influence on the civil rights movement of the 1960s and has had significant impact on American culture over the past five decades. An 11 time Grammy winner, he has also received a Pulitzer Prize Special Citation and was awarded the 2009 National Medal of the Arts. In May of this year, President Obama honored Dylan at the White House, awarding him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom saying “there is not a bigger giant in the history of American music.” He has written more than 600 songs, and his songs have been recorded more than 3,000 times by other artists. At age 71 and 50 years after the release of his first LP, he continues to tour and record.

And from: http://www.zvents.com/holyoke_ma/venues ... ntain-park

Singer/songwriter Bob Dylan fortunately does not have to rely on his movie career to uphold his reputation as the single most influential rock musician of the 1960s. His best-known movie appearances include the concert film The Last Waltz and documentaries like Don't Look Back ; but Dylan also appeared in other films, making his dramatic debut as a cowpoke named Alias in Sam Peckinpah's Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1973), in which he sings "Knockin' on Heaven's Door....

Also from the iheg.com site:

The Mountain Park Legacy
Following its opening in 1894 as a picturesque retreat on the side of Mount Tom, Mountain Park expanded and evolved into one of the most beloved amusement parks in New England. At the beginning of the 20th century, Holyoke was the most prosperous community in the state and the first planned industrial city in the United States. The city's progress drew crowds of visitors to Mountain Park, and the park gradually developed into a bustling destination. Although the park closed its gates in 1987, the echoes of laughter from generations of visitors still reverberate throughout the Pioneer Valley. Today, Mountain Park evolves into the next millennium as a new host for music, entertainment and outdoor family fun.
There are also some great pictures on the iheg.com site.

And a little more info:

I was one of the teenagers that flocked to the park to hear the latest rock and roll acts and take a spin on the big rides. It was a magical place. I hope it will be again, when Bob gets there!

Pricey venue. I'm told that the owner is very well off and is known by local folks as kind of a rip off artist. A $15 convenience charge is pretty convenient for him on top of the $85 ticket price. Blimey!

 I better shave before I leave so Bob recognizes me.

I'm going, Milkcow, her boyfriend, ABAR, ABAR's daughter, her boyfriend, Rosie and a couple of more friends. Rank Stranger will be there, too.

I'm in the second row.

If you kids behave yourselves again, I might give you another live setlist.

Call out for Scarlet Town for me. I know he won't play it yet, but anyway.

I remember Lyon last tour, first show after the song titles came out, everybody started calling for them.

:?: I was just thinking..... What if he sings one of the new songs and I don't know how to report it for the live setlist. I don't have the new album yet so I won't recognize most of the tunes. :?:

He'll probably do it just to make a fool outa me.
