Have You observed that lately, when Bob plays Ballad of Hollis Brown in a show also plays The lonesome death of Hattie Carroll. He doesn't play one song without the other in the same show.

Why must that be?

Because it's Saturday night, of course!

I looked for the last shows of 2011 and this used to happen on saturdays. In Glasgow, in a shorter show, he only played Hattie Carroll.

I suppose someone had commented that here but I didn't know.

So those songs are lkely to be played in Paddock Wood and Cap Roig.

Mostly (not evertytime) on saturday since 2009.

since 2010
Not dark yet

very often Saturday
Jolene
Hard rain
Forgetful heart
Summer days (since 2011 not exactly sure)

I have a friend who goes one show a year. since 2009 they were all on Saturday.
This year he has also Saturday (salzburg).
He don't like these two songs very much
Looks like the fourth time in row Hollies Brown and Hattie Carroll.

The question posed was "why" he plays them in tandem....and none of us here have an answer. We just know he tends to play them together on Saturday nights.

Anyway...happy Mothers Day, to all you mothers out there. Especially you Barefoot. 8)
