Bob Dylan and His Band
Citibank Hall
April 15th, 10PM
Av. Ayrton Senna, 3000 – Barra da Tijuca
Tickets from R$500 to R$800.

...Ready? Here we go! Kicking off the '2012 Never Ending Tour' leg in beautiful Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! What more could we really ask for? We are hoping for a live feed, but as someone mentioned, we will make the best of it regardless. We can certainly adapt and make one up along the way if need be.

From yesterday's Rio Times:
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Bob Dylan and His Band kick off their South American tour in Rio on April 15th at Citibank Hall and the show is one not to be missed, even considering the R$500 per ticket (still available). Whether you have seen Dylan before is of no consequence; the artist is known for inventing and reinventing his vast catalog, mining the history of North American music so that every performance is unique and inspiring.

Holy crap.
I knew there was a tour this year, but I somehow expected it would take another couple of months for it to start,

I don't have high hopes (or any really...), but I'm looking forward to hearing from the old bugger again.

I'm seeing the cover art work of the yet to be released boot of this show before my eyes. Thanks Carolina! I hope you're not still mad at me.

Why should I be mad at you?

This news is saying that Bob forbids journalists and photographers at the shows in Brazil.

Glad you are not. I can't remember, will you go to Rio as well as the Sampa shows?

Is there anybody who is going to that show (from ER posters)? Maybe we will get live set lists? I smell big turn about & big surprise this time, like magnificent "Gotta Serve Somebody" from Taipei last year it was so good! Keep my fingers crossed. I can't wait!!

I saw these photos when Carolina posted them earlier in another thread. Who's the dude with the flashlight? Anyhow, here is a lame English translation of the Portuguese text.
"Bob Dylan disembarked in the night of this friday, 13, in the airport of Galeão, in Rio De Janeiro, for Brazilian its turnê. With face of few friends, Dylan did not want to know of the photographers. Of head low, the singer followed until the car. Beyond Rio De Janeiro, Bob Dylan will make shows in Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, São Paulo and Porto Alegre, but it vetoed journalists and paparazzi."

I feel it in my bones that there will be something unusual.. A strange sound, a deeper voice, a bigger hat and Dirt Road Blues.

Carolina says it begins at local Rio time, 8 pm (not 10 pm as shown on some websites).

You're setting yourself up for a lot of disappointments in a single post (but I hope you're right)

My town's hockey team, Brynäs, is playing an eventually goldreaping final today. it would be the first time since 99 and they are leading with 3 to zero wins. i may be slightly absent for this.
