Got some infos about the Montreux show and they're not very good.
First, Bob will not be the only act. There will be a sort of blues revue before him : CHICAGO BLUES, A LIVING HISTORY Feat. Billy Boy Arnold, John Primer, Billy Branch, Carlos Johnson, Lurrie Bell and the Living History Band. It might be really cool but it also means a shorter festival set for our man.
Then, as there are three prices categories, it means the standing tickets will only allow you the stay in the back or on the sides of the hall. Be ready to feel like sardines in their can without seeing much, especially if Bob doesn't allow the big screens to be turned on. For that, you will have to pay CHF 108 (about 90 €).
If you want to have a seat and get closer to the stage, it will cost you between CHF 320 to 350,- (yes, that's 265 to 290 €

).
Don't know about you but it's definitely no for me. Claude Nobs and his soon-to-be VIP-only event can go to hell.
http://www.montreuxjazz.com/newsletter/ ... me2012.pdfTHANX A LOT FOR THE INFO! How sad. I must be one of Bob's biggest fans here in Switzerland and I WON'T even go! Let the RICH bank people go and hear them mumble about Bob's VOICE and the high price after the show, they won't get it!... Let also the LOOKING FOR A FREE TICKET girl go
And yes, may NOBS go to hell for this!
Does anyone have a plan of Stravinsky just to have a good laugh and see where the "cheap" tickets are?
The first time I saw him in Montreux was in 2001. He came in a VERY bad mood and slightly drunk. It was also the 1st time I saw him and out of the 15 times I saw him it was the worst concert of Bob I saw. The hardcore fans found it beautiful. Guess I'm not harcore enough. And not rich enough to go this time. Hope he plays Dont think twice as a second song, at least I wont be there. YURK!
