just in case anybody else out there has been struggling to make up their mind about how to manage a couple of shows on this tour with the travel circles and regrets not getting a lyon ticket. Well I got one fron the FNAC sight about an hour ago. No idea how many more or for how long.
Was there in 94, and watched Bob sound check and jam with the band for more than an hour before the show started... happy memories
Was also there in 93...........Bob sent a sick note and we jumped in a coach and went to switzerland the next day, just for those of you wondering about the travel between gigs this time

People, there are still tickets on www.digitick.com : http://www.digitick.com/bob-dylan-festi ... 19343.html
Choose the number of tickets you want (nb places), choose if you want insurance or not (nb de billets a assurer - if you want insurance click oui - yes, if you don't non- no). Then click the big button. On the next screen, select billet electronique, that way you can download and print your ticket. Then you have to enter all your infos under nouveau client digitick (new client) :Numéro de téléphone mobile (cell phone number ), Mot de passe (password), Confirmez le mot de passe (confirm password), Pays (country), E-mail (well, email adress), Nom (familly name), Prénom (first name). 3rd page, you have to enter your credit card infos, click confirm, then download your ticket...

Ooooh, you can view the page in English or Spanish !

This whole thread is making me sick with temptation! Oh dear. I'm only just back from the US, still with a bit of jetlag I fear, and now here I go again thinking of BD. Clarx, you are a terrible temptress.

To make things worse I have just found out about a very cheap bus from London to Paris.

Cup, come on over!!!! I wanna meet you !!!! :D
Plus the venues they're gonna play in are just fantastic, especially Lyon (plus the food is sooo good, and I can show you all around ;) )... and in Nimes, in the arenas... and in Barolo, under the Italian sun... even in Montreux (rip-off!), with the Geneva lake in the background.... ahhhhh, I just can't wait ! 8)

Insurance? I assume it's not 'Set List Insurance'.
Seriously though, what is being insured here? And why would anyone pay for it?

Post subject:  Re: Tickets for the show in Lyon

I assume that's sth like guaranteed money back in case of cancellation?

If that is the case, then they are basically saying, "No money back if it's cancelled, unless you pay more now." Bastards.

No, with this insurance, you get your money back if you can not go to the show because you have disease, or a car crash, or a transport strike, or things like that.
If the show is cancelled, you get the money back anyway.

You know,.... you know.
You could even live next door to us in a lovely B&B near the old town of Lyon.

Never mind Lyon, I might have to come and live with you permanently because my husband would probably not forgive me! He'd have to drive all the way down through France with my daughter a few days later and then he has to drive all the way back again because he has to leave before us for work reasons.

I may have to tie myself up and sit in a corner until I come to my senses.

Come on, Cup ! Come on come on come on !
Lyon is beautiful, sunny to the point of getting tanned in just one day but not too hot, the food is delicious and not too expensive, and I'll take you for a walking tour ! Plus it's an awesome venue and a grrrreeeaaaat festival (and what a view!) Plus there's a very cool and cheap hostel a few meters from the amphiteather, so you have to take the funiculaire (very small metro that goes down the hill of Fourviere) !

JP : I'm going to Nimes (if there are still tickets available when I finally get paid), Barolo and Lyon. Not Montreux 'cause I don't wanna pay 150 E for a gig (but if I find some tickets, I wanna go to Montreux for their New Orleans night - Hugh Laurie, Dr John & Trombonne Shorty !!!), and give all that money to a city that's already one of the wealthy-est on Earth ! I'm gonna take a road trip with Alrik, Elbereth and others, it's gonna be so awesome ! :D 8)

Oh, you're with them. Have you rented a bus yet?

And well, for Montreux, you could have a 90€ ticket. I have a spare GA if you want it.

Nope, we're gonna rent a car & drive through south of france - oh, I just can't wait, it's gonna be awesome !   Do you have a ticket for July 9th (NOLA night) or 8th (Bob gig) ? It's the NOLA night gig that interests me !!! 8)
So, JP, which shows are you going to, except Montreux ?

Check booking.com, you can book hotels from a city map there which also shows you some of the landmarks.

No, of course it's a Bob ticket! On 9 July, I will be well on my way to Spain.

I'm going to Berlin, Dresden, Bonn, Bad Mergentheim, Salzburg, Montreux, Bilbao, Cap Roig, Nimes, Barolo, Lyon, Bayonne.... thinking about Carhaix.

This hostel is more than decent : it is a few meters down the amphitheaters (venue), and it has a great terrace with an awesome view... The beds are OK, the showers/ WC are quite clean, but it's noisy 'cause it's the only hotel in Lyon that's cheap !
