About the FoS, see:
http://www.eventim.de/bob-dylan-his-ban ... =erdetaila

Will the entrance be at the bottom of the yellow block?
Will in the yellow block an alley be kept free to let the FoS-holders through?

I would be thankful when somebody can get the information & tell us here, so we know what to expect & where to queue up

I guess we will get information a bit closer to the time, as of now, they have never tested this venue.

I can't see the yellow block right now for technical reasons, but I was told that the entrance for all of us will be at the most far away point from the stage.

If you draw a line from the southernmost seating block on the left over to the river rhine on the right, somewhere there in the middle are the entrance locks. Should be some 100 meters to the stage from there.

Well. I'll be there as early as I can in the morning. We should arrange to meet up so that the person who is there first can free the way for the rest of us to join. Team ER will stand as one and conquer the very front of the queue! Haha. But yeah.. Going to see if I can get a night train from here so I arrive there in the morning, should be a 45 minute walk from the trainstation to the venue if all goes well.

It is in the middle of the week, so only nutcases like us will be there before noon. What you could do though is trying to organize a numbering system, giving the FOS crowd a number (best write on the hand in biro) in order of arrival. In that way, people can go for bathroom or lunch breaks and return to their spot in the queue, and we could try to go in in order of arrival.

That's a great idea. It's one of the big downsides of being at the front, not being able to take a break and walk away for a minute without your spot being taken. In Rotterdam last year I was at the front, people were starting to arrive after a few hours and I realized that I didn't have any lunch nor dinner with me and I felt light headed. I sprinted to the train station and back to get some snacks, When I was back quite a few people took my spot. But when the gates opened I ran and reclaimed my rightful spot. Luckily enough after the MK part of the show the woman in front of me who was there because of the MK-ticket said something along the lines of 'Who rather wants a beer than a Bob come with me! I'm not letting this beautiful show be spoiled by listening to Bob!' Then she went away and i could stand at the front.
I wonder if people would be acceptant of such a system though, I'm guessing the ones at the front would but the further back you get the more desperate people are to get to the front.

Make yourself familiar with those around you, during the day it is well possible to take short breaks and return. Just don't stay away forever.

Rotterdam had an early entry for the MK ticket holders, didn't it?

Yes it did. If you bought tickets through the MK website I think. I didn't know this before I got my tickets so I just had the regular ones. Still good though. Were you among the MK crowd? A person with a German accent asked me where the entrance for the MK thing was, maybe that was you! Haha.

Yes, I was with the (rather small) MK crowd. I don't remember asking anyone, but there were quite a few Germans there that I know of.

I'm buying train tickets to Bonn soon. Can anyone from Germany confirm that the right train station to stop at is "Bonn Hbf". And maybe even advice me on busses and such from the station to the venue-area? It should be walk-able, but it's nice to be sure. Not too easy to find out if you don't speak German well.

Thanks in advance!

@Ace:

http://www.kunstrasen-bonn.de/anfahrt.html

says:

Quote:

meaning

Take Deutsche Bahn to Bonn central station (=Hbf), then take the underground train in direction of Ramersdorf / Königswinter. Get off at the stop called Rheinaue and follow the signs to the Kunst!Rasen concert site.

Hope that helps. :)

I can help out in Berlin, i have nothing to do all day until the concert. I've no idea where i will be or how to get there, but my friend i'm sure will give me all the directions.

I wouldn't have thought there would be much of a queue... what time should I get there, then, to get a decentish spot?

Thanks!

2 - 3 hours before doors should be fine.

Oh great! Well, if they let us go straight, it's not that bad..
I think it was in Zagreb, they asked us to turn around the stadium. Sure sir, you can count on us

It is plainly said pretty damn stupid not to make an extra entrance for the "front of stage" ticket holders. Or even let them in 10-15 mins earlier, like with the MK tickets last year. It would avoid lots of confusion. If they have better security than Mainz, we need to talk to them about it.

They should make sure by whatever means that fos ticket holders don't have to show their tickets twice, at the entrance AND at the stage. But if the organizers stick to their original plans (I phoned one of them, see my post on page 1 or 2) this will not be the case. They guy I spoke with didn't saw any problems, though he was aware of the Mainz desaster.

Maybe someone will explain our concerns to them once again? I took the phone number from the homepage of theirs, I did not keep it .

They never believe us until afterwards. :x
Did they have any concerts there yet.... between now and when you called?
Might be they gained some experience in the meantime.

edit: Never mind, their first concert is on Saturday. I'll be off(line) in Berlin already, but maybe somebody can call them next week and ask about the entry situation at the weekend concerts.

By the look of that map it's going to be quite the run to get to the stage. Hopefully I arrive earlyish so I can be in the front queue. Are the ER'ers still meeting up at the venue? Would be good to have people to wait with at the gate, if anyone needs to go for a few minutes we can save eachothers spot.

Sure, I guess we'll meet up everywhere we can find other ER members.
Food or bathroom breaks from the queue shouldn't be a problem, as long as people don't stay away for hours and arrive back just in time to go in. But once you get to know some people, things usuall work out fine.

Does anyone have the 411 on Bonn doors & start time? Ticket says doors 5pm, show at 7pm, as does the Kunst!Rasen website.

Local promoters Hartz say 7pm (no indication if doors or showtime), however their schedule for Patti Smith at the same venue says 6pm, and then: "Walkabouts 7pm, Patti 8pm", which would indicate doors at 7pm for Bob.

Furthermore, the poster says "Beginn (showtime) 8pm", no mention of doors.

I'm confused.

7:00 is printed on the ticket - so I assume that's when the show starts. Therefore 5:00 sounds to me most likely for the opening of the doors.
Will I recognize your horrible "Auto" ???

See you !

Hi there,

I guess, the same holds for Bonn? And when are the soundchecks usually?
The kunst!rasen venue map looks very familiar... almost like Mainz  :?
