I just received a phone call from a friend of mine who read me an announcement he found in the magazine "eclipse" or something like that name, I never heard of before.

Anyway, the statement is: Bob Dylan playing the KUNST!rasen gronau bonn (obviously a sort of a festival) on July the 4th!

Other participiants are Lou Reed (June 29) and Patty Smith (July 9)

The respective website does not mention Dylan yet, though.

Edit:the whole thing seems to be in the planning, nothing is comfirmed, according to someone in a ticket office

Hey, it's info, so thanks. Hopefully a "proper" rumour, as they say.
I'll plop this in the tour rumors thread for what it's worth.

Nice lineup so far. Hope the rumor is true and that will be a great festival to attend.

well, it's not a festival per se, as Bob is likely to be the only act on July 4th and to see all eight shows, you have to shell out eight times, the only link between the shows is the venue.

It's only the package deal of hotel room + ticket so far, or do you see something I don't?

Yes, all those nice arrangements and collaboration things!

You don't need to book this package, though, of course.

More interesting is the statement: the date for the Bob Dylan concert will be announced within the next days.

They had this on there for a few days now.... I keep checking if they decided upon a date by now.

I wrote a mail to the promoter a few days ago and this is what he answered (maybe someone with a better englisch can translate it):

Guten Morgen,

Basically it says they have reserved two dates for Bob so far, and are awaiting confirmation from the US / Bob's people for the date of their choice. They will then post the confirmed date on the kunstrasen-bonn.de website - the promoter think confirmation will come soon.

Yes that's great, but a ticket without a room would be almost even greater.... just so to get back on the road afterwards. :)

That's also right, but we don't know yet where he will go after Bonn, maybe we have another 2-day-break, but I'm sure there will be tickets without a room after the show is confirmed...

Two day breaks are very rare.... I'm just all for whoever is in charge to just go ahead and confirm that gig. *tapping fingers impatiently*

I phoned to the number above within the last minutes, they have absoult no idea when the gig will happen.

The only thing I could find out is, that the gates opened the same time for VIP's and "normal" people. They just have an extra area, which is not in front of the normal "standing-area", just beside with a lot of extra drinks and some food. ;-)

Just a few informations, which we don't need to find out at the event-day.

the gap after (and maybe before) the assumed gig in Bonn and the festival in Spain makes me think of another gig in Germany. The beautiful open air theater in G*&$*!kirchen comes to mind (were it not for the short distance to Bonn and the MK thing in Oberhausen last year).

Maybe it's worth pinting out that bonnticket.de is offering front of stage GA tickets and seats close to the stage that Eventim apparently is not currently selling? Same price, no less.

Does anyone have any idea what the stage/area looks like? are there any pictures from previous years / venue pictures or so? The map on the eventim.de looks a bit odd to me, I can't imagine what the place would look in real life

As far as I know this is a new venue, replacing the Museumsmeile, where concerts were held until last year. I'm not really sure but I understood that Lou Reed is the first to play there (June 29).

Ah I see. Why are the GA/Standing tickets € 69.35 While the seating tickets are € 85.55? Isn't this usually the other way around? I don't think i've ever seen a gig where seating was more expensive than standing, maybe it's just me. The standing can be right up to the stage if you're there early right? Feels like it might be somekind of trap where the seating ends up in a better position/closer to the stage o.o
