The wait is nearly over.... I'm sure hoping for this!

We are less than 12 hours from lift off!

Nope! Dirt Road is off the table. no longer an opener possibility. that was only possible in South & Central America

It will only happen now, mid set, if he revamps the tour entirely when he begins with Knopfler again in the fall.

I want the next leg to open with Dirt Road Blues... What better way to pay homage to Bob's European fans than by opening with a gem of all gems?!

thanks for the clarifying! Outlaw Blues is still on the table though! have fun at the hop ! can't wait to hear your thoughts about it, perhaps you will write something up?

Moth flies into Bob's light, or something like that....start with a catchy title, it always seems to work.

I do wany you to be correct here Maria, but I think you probably are. This opener has been beaten relentlessly into the ground. Here's to accepting whatever is, no matter how repetitive.

What about Dusquesne Whistle ?

Wouldn't this be a great danceman's opener?

Dusquesne Whistle would be the *perfect* opener for this tour.
It's just... it's gotta be Pillbox Hat. Anything but that and, maybe Maggie's Farm, or RDW, would be a surprise.

Dirt Road Blues has been held in abeyance long enough... Its time to roll it out, fire up the band, and play like there's no tomorrow! Only a few more days...

Woo!! Hoo!!

Someone mentioned this to me and I think it'd be great. Imagine the new intro was the opening part of Duquesne Whistle, a recording played over the house P.A (repeated if necessary) as Bob and the band walk out, take their spots, then launch into the actual song live. I like.

Let's see. I wonder who it was that might have mentioned that?
Maybe the initials UP ring a bell?
I'm in.

No kidding? Someone in the real world mentioned it to me. Maybe that person read it here. Or maybe I misunderstood and here was given proper credit when I was told about it. In any case, I'm ready!

I have it on good authority Bob will replace the boys with Gaelic Storm, who will follow his set with their own stuff, sure to make up for the predominance of ballads and remind us Mumford & Scum really do suck.

1. Like a Rolling Stone
2. The Happy Organ
3. Shake Shake Mama
4. Walls of Red Wing
5. The Love that Faded
6. Tin Angel
7. Must Be Santa
8. Life Is Hard
9. Duquesne Whistle
10. Roll On John
11. Narrow Way
12. Huck's Tune
13. The Long and Wasted Years
14. Tempest
15. Someday Baby

(encore)

16. Dirt Road Blues
