May I suggest 'I've a feeling the next tour will open with Dirt Road Blues'?

I am nothing if not a master of economy with the English language.

'Change My Way of Thinking' is a lot more likely, however.

Cheers eloquently, SLuggy

You are probably correct. I'm OK with whatever, although I'd be totally cool with him putting that one away forever. We've had our fill.

Yes I would be happy with anything at all... I would also not be surprised if the feeling in my bones had been by mistaken by me, the very person whose bones the feeling was in, from past times I can sense this can often be the way when it comes to bones and feelings.

I was putting on 'Time Out of Mind' on vinyl for my friend to hear just yesterday....he said 'put on 'Dirt Road Blues.' I said, 'he's never played that one live, would be great if he opened the next show with it, would really be a sign that something different was coming with the setlists, hopefully.'

I'll be extremely happy with any next show even if it does follow the now very familiar patterns of course, but thought it was great to see on here that you were thinking along the same lines.

JBS! May I say 'Congrats' on your first post! Looks like it took almost 3 years to get up the gumption. Good for you and welcome! Please try and respond within a couple years. Your input is needed.

I have a feeling the next tourwill open with Dirt Road Blues

If the next tour opens in South America, would the fans in attendence truly appreciate him kicking off the tour with Dirt Road Blues?

If not at the time, then they would realize later and then maybe finally appreciate it. Just like large percentages of the crowds everywhere, there will be a majority looking for exact remakes of the 'hits' that they know. Even some of those 'popular' tunes get missed by the masses due to unexpected arrangements. I don't think that it is a South-America-specific thing. I believe it's world over, maybe even more so in the US.

there are in fact many dirt roads in South America, so it would be a perfect gesture of bob, nodding to all those dirt roads and the blues that happen upon them. it would unite a crowd of strangers and travelers in a beautiful way.

well there we have it: dual confirmation. it is set in stone, if only a sedimentary one.

i've come upon some other blues numbers that would fit nicely in the line-up. anywhere really:

Outlaw Blues
On the Road again
From a Buick 6

If i count today and next Sunday, we are a mere 7 days away. If I cheat and don't count the 24 hours until i wake up again I could say we are only 6 days away. Australians can fairly say we are six days away. Cheating Australians can say we are only 5 days away. In sum, I am getting pretty f-n' excited. two songs to surge the lift off:
