She should have registered that as a trademark,
she could be making quite some money ;)

As we all know, Bob doesn't care about trademarks and copyrights. I don't wanna pay every time I use that phrase. :P

Haha, oh dear. Yeah good old Bob... all those ideas flying about what he might play and then he goes home haha. Wasn't someone saying they though he was about to come out in a red hat singing Must Be Santa and doing a jig..?

I'm tempted to go to Cardiff... but would need to find a ticket and a cheap train!

I hope Bob (& crew) thoroughly enjoy their well-deserved days off before Cardiff - will anxiously await another fun concert on line (just wish I could enjoy the entire concert, instead of being at work for the first part :( :( )
Thanks again to all involved in giving us these concerts.

What a set.

His Bobness must have heard/read someone's complaint about the boringness of his setlists...

ah, this was so much fun to read! I can not wait until I can go to a show. A couple of days after I started listening, I looked up tour dates and found out that I just missed three dates in August that were within driving distance. :( And now, no shows until who knows when :( :(

been reading a lot about the sheer volume difference in MK and BD's performances, on the one hand MK's performance being well balanced as a mix, but too quite, and on the other hand Bob's performance being too loud (as in, ear damaging loud) and badly mixed, badly mixed as the guitars had been mixed way too much in th background, and bob's voice and organ too loud for it's own good.
now i can NOT speak from my own experience on this, until oct. 19th. but i have read this both in newspaper reviews and fan reviews (both worlds)
so can anyone on here, that has been to one of the first 4 shows comment on the sound, volume and mix of both artists?
do not mix volume, sound and mix with quality of performance, that is a whole other, pointless discussion, either here or on a mk forum.

Hi Pottel,

I was lucky enough to haven seen Knopfler/Dylan in Dublin at the O2 arena, and I am usually very critical of sound at concerts, I did notice a big difference between Dyan and Knopfler's set up alright, Knopfler's band could have been at lot loader IMO, they were quite low in the mix, Knopfler's guitar over shadowed everything, His playing was absolutely fantastic but I would have much preferred if the other instruments were up at the same volume, having said that Knopfler's playing on the resonator guitar for Done With Bonaparte was very hard to hear for me, such a pity too as his playing on that tune is beautiful and a key accompaniment to the tune,

It was a very different set up for Dylan, The instruments were well up in the mix, well, except for Donnie of course who's playing has been missing for a long time now to my knowledge!?!?, Dylan was well up too, but not overly so IMO as a few people have complained about, especially been as how good Dylan sounded, his vocals were strong powerful and clear, His harmonica playing was fantastic and his guitar playing was shockingly brilliant, Dueling amazing solos with Charlie throughout "Beyond Here Lies Nothing" and taking awe inspiring leads on "Spirit On the Water", The sound set up for Dylan really lifted the mood for the night, The instrumentation on "Highway 61 Revisited" was loud enough to blow the roof off! and "Like a Rolling Stone" exploded into the set and was enough to compel the oddly, overly subdued Dublin crowd to their feet, The sound was loud and clear, perfect IMHO, but definitely not ear piercing! I am a fan of Knopfler too it's a pity his levels weren't mixed better, Perhaps due to the little time they had to sound check, been the first night and all, these creases are probably well ironed out at this stage,

Thank you Johanna for keeping us all posted with the setlists!

I am still in shock over Nottingham! I might have to get on the road again!!! :D

Just back from the show. Awesome. What a set-list. What a performance - Lots of standouts: Lovesick, Not Dark Yet, Can't Wait, Visions, Thin Man, River Flow, Nettie.
Great singing - really attacking the vocals with lots of power. Bob was out front and centre a lot. He really seemed to be putting a lot into it tonight. Great night. Roll on Hammersmith!
