Hello people.... I'm writing from the UK. Would anyone going to the Seattle gigs care to do some quick reviews/rundowns on this thread so that anyone who can't attend can get a flavour of the shows. Be interested to know about the whole show including support acts and how it all fits together. Additionally, if anyone gets to hear soundchecks could you let us know what songs were performed.

Yours very gratefully ~ Jonnie Falafel xx

Check Bill Pagels website tomorrow. The link is called "BobDates"...it's on the right hand site of the "Expecting Rain" site. There you will find reviews of the show and the set list.

Oh, hell....here's the link...

Is there any secret to registering for easytree? I've been trying for weeks but it is always full.

Should I give up hope?

Thanks,
Tim

I re-signed up today. If you go to 'recover account' there is a link to sign up a new account. it worked for me today. I forgot what email address I used to use on that site.

The show last night friggin rocks. Man tapers are some damn great folk.

very impressive first show with this new-look (and new-sounding!) band going by the CD of the opening night

the violins add a nice new dimension to the band's sound which I think was needed.

Thumbs up!:D

havin' now listened to this show the whole way through, I'm going out on a limb here and saying this is the best shake up to the NET sound since Bob's "Tom Jones" style crooning in the 95 European tour.

The new arrangements are gorgeous and Bob's in great voice. I was a big fan of Larry Campbell and was sorry to hear he'd left the band, but this new line up sounds fantastic.

..and if you thought "Sing me back home" was great at Bonnaroo last June, wait till you hear this rendition. I havent stopped playing it for the last half hour...if this version doesnt move you, you're already dead.

If this is the first show, I cant wait until they get used to playing together.

Thx, gfd.....I know very little about this stuff.

A Bruce Hornsby CD from the library unbalanced my CD-Rom drive and my home CD player all in one week, and since I haven't the ability to make hard copies anymore, this age of instantly accessible music has quietly passed by my window

Although I do appreciate any enlightenment about these things :o
