Nobody said that Hop Farm was the first date of the tour, so.... it could still happen.

He could go to Iceland or somewhere.... but I think he likes Ireland.
Has he ever started a tour at a festival anyway, without warm-up?

I was thinking about this earlier, especially since Vicar St was meant to happen at the start of the last fall tour, so it could be a possible tour opener. Either that or any other county he so wishes to visit is fine by me! Also the fact that it's highly unlikely he'll start with a festival is also a good sign

London 1993, with somewhat distasterous results. Technically also Rock am Ring 1998, however that was only like five days after the last US show. The 1992 tour is a bit of a grey area, depending on if you really see a big huge difference between "a festival" and "an open air show with Bob as headliner".

Having said that, I expect a warm up show, possibly in Ireland, too. And Carhaix definitely isn't the last show of the tour - no international airport, not even close. It would be a chance to go back to the UK for the end of the tour though, if they fit in the Italian dates between Montreux and FIB. We'll see.

It's just a very weird route so far.... but well, first of all I'd really like to know where to go after Montreux.

He usually does a smaller show before Festival Season. Ireland looks promising.

Also, Hop Farm was supposed to be exclusive, but just like last Fall and he surprised us with London at the end.

No necessarily. Remember last year, when he went from London to Israel and then to Milano? If you consider the possibility of fly-in festival shows (London -> Berlin would suggest they fly as well), anything is possibly. If you think they all travel by bus, yes, it does look a bit strange at present.

I think last summer was a bit of an exception, so I do think that apart from flying into Berlin, it'll be mainly a tour traveling on wheels.

Something prior to Hop is possible. Theoretically, he could jump from Ireland to Hop before skipping to Bonn.

We had two new shows announced today, so we might get there eventually.

If he is going to come to Ireland, the Westport Festival of Music on 23/24 June looks a good bet, link here http://entertainment.ie/festival/display.asp?ID=3237

Otherwise, the Marquee again? Hardly.

So looks like Westport is our best bet. Does this constitute a rumour?

This currently on the Festival website,

"More big name Irish and international artists will join the cream of the emerging music scene on the festival line-up in the coming weeks"

Westport is a beautiful place to visit!!!

Something to cling on to, even if not quite a full blown rumour! Yet!

Don't hold your breath, for Bob to play that Festival, he'd have to add two full weeks of shows after Carhaix, when there are pretty much zero rumours about anything apart from Italy and Spain (in other words: the other end of Europe) right now.

??? The date in question is 24 JUNE, not July. So I think the breath-holding can continue.

It would fit even better if it was July, since Carhaix is 22/7.

Sorry, I confused in with last year's date in early August.
