I was lucky enough to be at both and have to say the JLAW from Cork 06 was in a different league to the Barriwlands one- truly hair raising.

I was at this show.

Bob's compliments aren't given lightly, but I have to concur with the Maestro on this one.

Have been to about 45 Dylan shows and this was indeed the best audience of the lot - and the best Dylan show of the lot too.

Glasgow is, from my experience, the best concert audience in the British Isles anyway - and this was a terrific venue for a gig,

I was there in Glasgow and I will never forget it. I was standing together with a friend of mine who is one of the well known tapers. As the audience were really going crazy on singing along, I asked him if he wanted me to shelter him to not get the recording destroyed. He gave me the very right answer: "give a damn in the recording, enjoy the mood!" I have seen Dylan in concert 225 times (1978-2016) and it might not have been one of the 10 best concerts I have seen, but it's really one of the concerts I remember best because of the mood and defenitely the best singing audience ever. A real nice place for a concert as well.
P.S. I'll see Bob in Glasgow in May, and I'm hoping for a good singing audience once more as long as they don't sing along on the boring "Sinatra songs" - or maybe not, maybe it will help me to not fall asleep during those songs.

I remember when the announcement was made that Bob was playing the Barrowlands - it was almost unbelievable. I'd never in my wildest dreams expected him to play there

So, after seeing the preshow at the SECC the night before, this was the real deal. The atmosphere was incredible, and although the show itself probably isn't anything special to those who listen to the recordings, that's not what this show is about.

The Sunday Herald review a few days later said it all - 'Like Picasso painting your living room'.

The only downside - it spoiled me and no Bob show will match it, although the 2013 run in the Clyde Auditorium renewed my faith in Bob live, it's a different experience nowadays. I've not yet decided whether to see him this time around ...
