I've literally come in the door, from the festival.
The grand piano was left on stage by Randy Crawford. Bob played a few songs on it but im sure it wont be a regular thing..
Patti Smith stole the show!!!

No-one saying he was great, so I guess he wasn't. And why would he be, with no 71 year-old voice, reasonably capable of helping out, left?

The review there paints a nice picture. That sounds like a pretty cool show.

A band introduction during Watchtower is certainly a change and I still have not seen a show with the long guitar intro by Stu.

Nice start to the tour.

Just got back to my hotel from The Hop Farm and it's hilarious reading these comments after seeing what really happened, but then I probably wouldn't have believed it either.
Yes he played grand piano on several songs, including a totally new and lovely 'Can't Wait'.
He introduced the band mid-song (Watchtower), oh and the lengthy pre concert spoken intro was totally absent, just Stu Kimball playing on stage to start with as the rest of the band and Dylan came on stage.
Another really good concert at The Hop Farm in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
Patti Smith was also excellent earlier in the afternoon but alas no duet with Bob

Can you elaborate about Can't Wait shakey?

Also, was it more of a mellow show to compensate for the acoustic piano??

Hope this show becomes available quickly... given the enthusiasm of the reviews and the general nature of the show, it sounds like the best show in several years.

forgive me if these pictures have been posted in the thread. some of them are of Bob at the grand piano but the clever photographer cropped most of that out. :x

He looks good but needs to get out a bit to get some roses to his cheeks.

It was a very good show. He was playing some nice lines on the piano. His voiced was sounding refreshed.

On a side note, was impressed with Damien Rice. I'm not a big fan of his - it's not my kind of thing at all - but he held the whole audience in the palm of his hand.

I must have been at a different show to most people here. Patti Smith was fantastic best of the day. Dylan just average. not as bad as last years shows but then it was the first show. he does needs new blood in the band Sexton is so boring the clown act has had its day, its time to get someone new , the rest of the band was excellent as always.

Shut the f**k up. Do you understand how lucky you are to see Dylan at his age? Bob is at his best. He's at a 71 year old man, people expect him to come out with an acoustic guitar and sound he did in 65', if you don't like his shows, don't go.

None offence taken, I am obsessed with Bob. Apart from my mum and dad, he's all I care about really.
