Hmm... I guess we all knew TTRH is not for everyone. Some requirements must be met for a listener to be able to appreciative the show even on just an irregular basis. A small degree of sophistication helps - and just a pinch of humbleness. Also the ability to occasionally find interests and fascinations outside of one's own narcissism... Some people just don't meet any of these requirements: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYWpzizE ... re=related

Apparently when Sirius XM radio shock jocks don't have any other material at hand, they fall back to insulting Bob Dylan and TTRH. Another poster in another part of the ER forums mentioned that either Opie or Anthony claimed on their show that Lee Abrams said that XM had to hire a voice coach to train Dylan before they were able to air TTRH.

It's semi-amusing that Stern's producers either had to obtain lousy recordings or (more likely) deliberately distorted the TTRH clips.

I'd note that Howard Stern is a classless act, but I'd be belaboring the obvious.

Yeah, that clip did sound messed with, Dylan does not sound like that normally on the show. He's perfectly intelligible. What probably happened was, Stern told them to pull out a few clips, found there was nothing to it and decided to screw with the "s"s or something so they could still make their point.

Was this recent? Is it crazy to think that anyone mentioning TTRH on XM might be a good thing? I hate Stern to the core but maybe it's a perverse way to focus attention on it and stir the fans up before an announcement. Have they come right out and said there won't be another season?

Gawd, that Stern geezer and his studio sycophants are so far up their own firmaments...

They think they're humourous? Really?

As already suggested, the clip sounds well messed about with. Clever, huh!

Shock jocks, eh! What are they like?

OMG! thank you for posting that ***

I love it when people don't get Dylan!!! When I was younger I wanted everyone
to get him like I did, wanted to share this fine thing with the world. got over that.

working at home and listened to that & am literally in tears laughing out loud.
They can't imagine us downloading each
and every episode, well maybe they can but I know how they'd 'classify' us.
Wonder how many people download Howard's shows?

Back in the 80's, remember the New Yorkers where I used to work all excited about Howard,
I listened some. got mad sometimes but then just bored...laughed some, yes but
it got so old so quickly. & he's just too LCD all the time & I'm not a guy.
Was driving home from Vegas (last leg of a Wyoming Yellowstone, Dylan in Bozeman,MT 2005)
trip actually & Howard was all that was on & and he put me to sleep nearly.
Had to get some Dylan out, had to stop and walk around a while...then I was fine.
Had slept in Vegas so it wasn't lack of sleep really.
Haven't listened to him since.

couple of clowns on local rock station had a guy imitating Dylan and calling it
Theme Time lemonade hour. It was really funny & yes, bad PR is still PR.
Similar to his Simpson's appearances.

My theories: Our media has for a long time sold intelligence short,
that's how we get Geo W for president & they cut the arts in the schools and
now there's no music anymore ----

Bob = the anti-lowest common denominator

How about that woman sidekick? She has the mentality of a 6 year old and is proud of it. Actually that's how all of them are, but she stands out more.
