... phonetically it sounds like "se blagem" or maybe "tse blogim." If it's "Goodbye" it doesn't appear to be the obvious - either Hebrew or Yiddish. Nor does it appear to come from one of Dylan's grandparent's or parent's background. Anyone have a guess?

While I'm on the subject, if anybody knows the source of the final "Goodbye" jingle, I'd be interested in hearing where it came from. The full lyrics are...

Now that you're relaxed
the best on wax will call it a day
Look us up again the records will spin
when we come your way...

Interestingly, and somewhat charmingly, Scott Warmuth passed on the info the jingle that Our Host uses in one of the early shows of Season 1: "Mister announcer, who are you?...Tell me the station I'm listening to....How about telling the time to me?... And what's the weather gonna be?..." was taken from a 19 and 62 L.P. titled, appropriately enough, "You Be A Disc Jockey."

And not to reopen the debate, but Our Host does say at the end of "Goodbye" that it's the end of the season, not of the show.
