Wow, he played her again on the Family episode! If you combine the times he's played her with Rilo Kiley and the Watson Twins, she must have the record for most plays on TTRH for a new artist? I've got a few of her records and like her a lot, but I have to admit I'm surprised he's played her so many times.

There are two things Bob likes in a female... one is some talent, the other has it's own distinctive two things.

I saw her in London last October. Definitely very talented. Her two solo albums (w/The Watson Twins and Acid Tongue) are a nod to classic folk-rock songwriting and have this "live" feeling that Bob enjoys in the studio. The performances are even better on stage, as you notice that most of the vocal effects are not done at the mixing station but are just sung that way. To make things even better for Bob, she's also Jewish. And, yes, she's quite shapely, as somebody in the audience shouted (in cruder words)...

Other young artists that Bob had an eye (not necessarily an ear) for: Martha Wainwright, Justine Frischmann from Elastica.

Jenny is fabulous. Her voice is expressive, her fashion is smashing, she's a beauty and she hangs with the coolest people! Ever seen her retreat in California? I want to crash there! (she can keep the boy)
