On the "Blood" episode Dylan expresses "predicting the past is our way to the future" as the credo of TTRH. This is quite interesting - and very fitting to the profile of the radio show as well as to Dylan's very musical career. In fact, it could almost be a one-sentence Bob Dylan poetics! Does anyone know if it's a quote from somewhere?

Also, it corresponds rather perfectly with the statement he made on Obama and beyond at the end of his most recent interview in a hotel room in Denmark last May: “You should always take the best from the past, leave the worst back there and go forward into the future.”

Yeah Fred, it could certainly be a Confucius paraphrase. Also, how was that William Faulkner quote..? Something like "The past isn't over, it's not even past."

"Strap yourself to a tree with roots, you ain't going nowhere" - Ain't no other way to go...
