Or maybe it is spelled, Carole. In any event ... who is she? Bob was certainly sending her a message!

Ignore this post because I answered my own question. I listen on XMX 2 so I frequently tune in, in the middle of a show which is what I did this morning. Then when it came around again, I picked up the beginning of the show and heard the "phone caller, named Carol". Now I understand the show's end.

IMO the Carol parts were the best show moments (esp. Bob's sighting -hummmm- n' the Bob comment at the end of the show) ! :D

I'm listening Theme Time on line, but I haven't heard the phone call or the show's end yet.
I'm excited to know what you are talking about!

For those interested, I've posted the transcript of Dylan and Carol's exchange over at Dreamtime, as well as Mr. D.'s later related comments. Carol was even kind enough to supply me with a photo of her album.

Ms Kiss, didn't you notice that there is no phone number to call Bob ? IMO, every name is fake (down to the guys in the studio - if Tex Carbone isn't a made-up name, I'm Sarah Palin ! ;) ) n' all the callers are people that Bob knows (I'm sure he gives 'em false names, too) ?
(oh, n' are you goin' to see Bob in the north country, GK ? :) )

This is a bit off topic, but I wanted to express my appreciation for this site and all the work Karl Erik and the others do here and for stewArt, Fred, and Croz. Your sites are all part of my daily enjoyment. Next time you're all in Raleigh, North Carolina, call me up and I'll make you dinner. And bring Bob, too, if you don't mind.

Maybe Carole was Paul McCartney
When pressed by American journalists in 1966 to reveal the song's "true" meaning, McCartney denied that "Can't Buy Me Love" was about prostitution, stating that, although it was open to interpretation, that suggestion was going too far, saying: "The idea behind it was that all these material possessions are all very well, but they won't buy me what I really want." Although he was to later comment: "It should have been 'Can Buy Me Love' " when reflecting on the perks that money and fame had brought him

 Yea, like huge alimony (or whatever they're calling it these days) payments to a looney ex. But then, he's the one that married her, isn't he?
And yea, his fame is wonderful - I mean his face splashed all over the news with accusations of plenty that he was a horrible husband. Wee!

Yea I'm sure he was joking of course ... but still.

Just a note that I appreciate the kind words and compliements from you, Penelope of my favorite name  as well as from several others over the past few days. I'm going through a difficult period right now, and the many notes, comments, et al; I've received have gone a long way in improving my mood. So, thanks to you all.

Going to the front page of Expecting Rain, left-hand column, under the TTRH logo would answer that question.
