Changeling has posted the 3rd show, and indeed, indicates he'll be posting new shows as they're broadcast. You can do a search at Demonoid for "Lou Reed's New York Shuffle" and find all the shows, but this time around, here's the URL for Show 3...

I'm really enjoying these - thanks very much Changeling. Some good old music and lots of really interesting new stuff too for those of us outside the US who can't hear the shows.

I see there's a fix for episode 1 track 8 (which was corrupt) up at Demonoid but I must not be demonic enough and fail to get in. Does anyone have it either as a FLAC or MP3?

Thanks

No problem. I'm enjoying the shows too. Since I am recording them for myself, I might as well share.

Do you still need the corrected track 8?

ep4 is up on demonoid...just do a search for Lou Reed

I have all four episodes thanks - it's just the fixed track I missed.

On trying to download when I spotted it a week later I have been barred by the demon - saying you have to be a demonoid member to get older downloads. And then can't register as membership is full.

Anyway - I'm enjoying the shows, thanks again for your time and trouble.

Lonely Woman - Ornette Coleman
Lantern on the water - Shugo Tokumaru

Pledging my love - Aretha Franklin
I must be in a good place now - Vetiver
Cage in a cave - Rasputina
Here comes the serious bit - The long blondes

Mr. Lonely Viola - Sun City Girls (Yeps, Mr. Lonely on viola. Not bad even!)
(A tip from Lou Reed: http://www.amazon.com/Tulsa-Larry-Clark/dp/0802137482)
(Lou Reed didn’t see the ‘Sex & The city’ film yet.)
And I was a boy from school - Hot Chip
Grace - Miss Kitten (Reminds me of Felix Da Housecat)
Nantes - Beirut (Don’t know ‘bout the rest of the world, but this was a huge hit in Belgium)
Dead Womb - Death from above 1979
100 Years (Tears in the wind) - Masters of reality
Dumb Head - Charades (Reminded me of The Supremes with some slightly alternative production)
Discipline - Nine Inch Nails (From their great new album ‘The Slip’ - you can download it for free, legaly!)
Prairie Lullaby - Jimmie Rodgers (And I thought yoddeling could never sound nice)

I had a death in the family and was not able to record episode 005 last weekend.

Lou is on tour now , so they replayed episode 004 this week. I will be on the lookout for episode 005 getting replayed. (email Sirius and tell them to replay it!) Thanks to Andy's song list I will know it when I hear it.

I am also not able to register with Demonoid as they say their registration is full. Is anyone able to issue an invitation or is there some other place t to find these torrents? I would like to hear Lou's shows.
Thanks in advance.

<shrug> like I said , I just found out I could invite. Not really sure of the rules other than it said every person only has a limited amount of invites. I would image that once you use that code and sign up you can send out invites yourself. Just go to your control panel.

They were playing replays while he was on tour. I thought this week would be a replay also , but they did episode 006 from Estonia. I missed taping the beginning of the show. I got more than the second half. I will post what I got taped tonight. I will have to get the beginning when they replay it.

Changeling,
Are you really "taping" it with tape cassettes or capturing the audio on your computer with recording software as most people do which is much easier?

lol , no , not on tape. Just old school term. I record on the Sirius Stiletto and then record the plackback into the laptop or I hook up the Stiletto to the laptop and have it play from the WiFi internet stream and record with software.
