Maybe something to do with the fact that there are a lot more things to talk about there? I love Theme Time and all, but come on, the conversation around here has to get a little redundant at times doesn't it?

That, and this forum has only recently been created - at least when compared to the lengthy time period the other forums have existed for.

I agree with you ocgypsy...
I dont understand why there is no more threads here.
Each of the programs has a lot of subjects to talk about and share... and not just about music.

well... let's create more threads! Not to be comparative or competitive, but to invite the people to listen to the programs again and share impressions, opinions, knowledge, etc..

There were more threads, you can only go back about 10 shows out of 75.

There were some pretty good music lists from people, too.
Maybe if we had/add more drama....
that Never gets old

Because not alot of people have access to Theme Time. I know I don't. I just for some reason decided to see what was here. I would love to hear some of these programs but things are so tough these days I'm NOT going to pay for radio. Maybe after awhile they'll compile some shows and put them out on cd.

I am always at general disc. or off topic. as I said probably becaua\se the majority here don't get Sirius or whatever. Why would I post about something I know nothing about?

8.00 a month online is 2.00 per show.
I'm down with that

b4 I had xm, people here made it possible to listen
to the show, from #1 Weather on.....

no one but a mod can say why it's limited to 5.
not sure there are mods or whatever ----
in this forum there is often reason to revisit old threads/topics
in off topic --- not so much
even on dylan boards
not getting dylan is rule of thumb
fitting him into ticky tack boxes, as he puts it,
is one of america's great national pastimes
just letting him talk is often overlooked or underrated

sameshit, differentdecade

This section does seem a little slow... and as has been said earlier, the fact we are limited to posting about the TTRH show only, is a big stumbling block... to make things a little more diverse and interesting, I would suggest that we are able to discuss any radio show from anywhere in the world... we can talk about great stations, great shows, and great show hosts... it's a brilliant idea... and a sure-fire winner... I urge everyone to consider this suggestion and then petition the powers that be, so we can make this amazingly beautiful idea a throbbing, erectile reality... come on, we can turn this section into a vibrant, erotic oasis of excitement... your thoughts?

we all do 8)

OK, JIM LADD on KLOS has 'the tribe' and a myspace and
night before last he played FROM A BUICK 6 on the radio.
It was as throbbing an erectile reality as radio can provide,
don't think I've Ever heard that on the radio before.
Last night he played Forever Young & some Traveling Wilbury's.
Course he plays the requisite Doors and Led Zeppelin to keep
'the tribe' erectile and functioning properly.

I post up pictures of Bob when it's appropriate in his
comments section.
JIm has played some funky blues, which is very out of character &
he played a surf set last night. I think that Theme Time has
been an influence, I'm sure of it. & he's gone from one night
a week to 5.
Wouldn't it be a kick to be able to respond to Bob while he's on
XM with a myspace or a forum that might be able to accomodate
the response that is currently in LA for Jim Ladd? & Jim's a
big sweet baboo but he ain't no Bob Dylan --- it could be
interesting to have the interaction. Bob posting in real time,
Bob with the delete friends button.

The tribe have parties, meet ups, go to each others homes, plus
there are out of towners as KLOS is streaming live on-line.

Jim has come a long way from KNAC in 1968 in Long Beach...then
to KMET, then KLOS.
He calls the women 'long legged ponies', last night was TeeDogg's birthday.

Next time: Kevin & Bean on KROQ morning show doing
skits about Theme Time Radio Hour and Bob Dylan impersonations.

and today Jack Devaney, the DJ, has played Bob Dylan
and Bob Dylan covers from 2pm until 7pm.

just renewed my membership online. It's streaming online,
google kjazz -- it's out of cal state long beach.

He says it's to honor Bob Dylan's 67th birthday.

The Phoenix has landed and Bob Dylan is getting
5 straight hours airplay on an LA radio station.

ps I Love LA
& Mr Jack Devaney especially
